Özet
Rapid urbanization and industrial expansion increasingly necessitate the construction of engineering structures on soft alluvial deposits characterized by low bearing capacity, excessive settlement potential, and high groundwater levels. This thesis presents a comprehensive case study focused on the Burdur Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, evaluating various ground improvement techniques to ensure safe and cost-effective construction under such problematic soil conditions. Within the scope of the research,“Preloading and Fill Technique,”“Jet Grouting,”“Unreinforced Bored Piles,”and“Deep Soil Mixing (DSM)”were scrutinized to address geotechnical challenges, including consolidation settlement and liquefaction risks. All technical and economic comparisons presented in this study were conducted using a rigorous and consistent evaluation framework, systematically analyzing specific performance metrics such as bearing capacity enhancement, settlement control, construction duration, and unit costs.
