Özet
Bu araştırma, İmam Hatip Lisesi öğrencilerinin Tanrı tasavvurları ile kontrol odağı düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Ergenlik dönemi, bireyin inanç dünyasının, benlik algısının ve sorumluluk bilincinin şekillendiği önemli bir gelişim dönemidir. Bu dönemde öğrencilerin Tanrı'yı nasıl algıladıkları, olayları nasıl yorumladıkları ve yaşamları üzerindeki kontrolü nerede gördükleri din psikolojisi açısından önem taşımaktadır. İmam Hatip Lisesi öğrencileri hem ergenlik döneminde bulunmaları hem de dinî içerikli bir eğitim almaları sebebiyle bu konu için anlamlı bir örneklem grubudur. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini, 2025-2026 eğitim-öğretim yılında Manisa il merkezindeki İmam Hatip Liselerinde öğrenim gören 305 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Veriler Demografik Bilgi Formu, Mehmedoğlu tarafından geliştirilen Tanrı Tasavvuru Ölçeği ve Rotter tarafından geliştirilip Dağ tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan İç-Dış Kontrol Odağı Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, çalışma durumu, dinî tutum, anne-baba birliktelik durumu, ebeveyn tutumu ve anne-baba dinî tutumu gibi değişkenler de değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda Tanrı tasavvuru ile dışsal kontrol odağının şans kontrolü boyutu ve genel kontrol odağı puanı arasında düşük düzeyde, negatif yönlü ve anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur. Bu sonuca göre Tanrı tasavvuru puanı yükseldikçe öğrencilerin yaşam olaylarını şans ve rastlantı gibi dışsal nedenlerle açıklama eğilimleri azalmaktadır. Ayrıca dinî tutum, ebeveyn tutumu ve anne-baba birliktelik durumunun Tanrı tasavvuru puanlarında anlamlı farklılık oluşturduğu görülmüştür. Destekleyici, koruyucu ya da demokratik ebeveyn tutumu algılayan öğrencilerin Tanrı tasavvuru puanları daha olumlu bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak Tanrı tasavvurunun, öğrencilerin özellikle şans ve dışsal etkenlere dayalı kontrol odağı eğilimleriyle ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür. Bu yönüyle çalışma alana mütevazı bir katkı sunmaktadır.

This study aims to examine the relationship between God perception and locus of control levels among Imam Hatip High School students. Adolescence is an important developmental period in which individuals' world of belief, self-perception, and sense of responsibility are shaped. During this period, how students perceive God, how they interpret events, and where they locate control over their lives are significant issues in the psychology of religion. Imam Hatip High School students constitute a meaningful sample group for this subject, as they are both in adolescence and receive an education with religious content. The study employed the correlational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The sample consisted of 305 students studying at Imam Hatip High Schools in the city center of Manisa during the 2025-2026 academic year. Data were collected through a Demographic Information Form, the God Perception Scale developed by Mehmedoğlu, and Rotter's Internal-External Locus of Control Scale, which was adapted into Turkish by Dağ. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS. Variables such as gender, grade level, employment status, religious attitude, parents' marital status, parental attitude, and parents' religious attitude were also evaluated in the study. The results showed low-level, negative, and significant relationships between God perception and the chance control dimension of external locus of control, as well as the overall locus of control score. According to this result, as students' God perception scores increase, their tendency to explain life events through external causes such as chance and coincidence decreases. In addition, religious attitude, parental attitude, and parents' marital status were found to create significant differences in God perception scores. Students who perceived their parents' attitudes as supportive, protective, or democratic had more positive God perception scores. In conclusion, God perception was found to be related especially to students' locus of control tendencies based on chance and external factors. In this respect, the study offers a modest contribution to the field.
