Özet

Edirne stratejik konumu nedeniyle pek çok millet tarafından elde edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Kurulduğu günden itibaren önemi sürekli artmış ve nihayet Osmanlıların başkenti olmasıyla siyasi, sosyal ve ekonomik yönden tarihinin en gösterişli günlerini yaşamıştır. 18. asırdan sonra asayiş bozuklukları, doğal afetler, istilalar, savaşlar vb. birçok olumsuz durumla karşılaşan Edirne, beşeri coğrafya açısından çok büyük değişikliklere uğramıştır. Buna bağlı olarak folklorik öğelerin dağılması Edirne'yi hassas bir noktaya taşımıştır. Bu nedenle araştırmada folklorik ürünlerden biri olan efsaneler konusu tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmamızın kapsamı Edirne merkez, ilçe, belde ve köyleriyle sınırlandırılmış, bu sahanın içerisinde ve sahayı ilgilendiren yazılı ve sözlü kültür ortamlarından derlenen efsaneler bir araya getirilmiştir. Araştırmada sahada“görüşme yöntemi”kullanılmıştır. Çalışmamız kapsamında tespit edilen 241 efsane Stith Thompson'un Motif Index of Folk Literature adlı, altı ciltlik eseri esas alınarak değerlendirilmiş ve motifleri çıkarılmıştır. Ayrıca efsaneler tek tek ele alınarak halkbilimi çalışma metotlarına göre tür, içerik, işlevleri, oluşum sebepleri, mesajları ve kaynakları bakımından incelenmiştir.

Due to its strategic location, Edirne was tried to conquer by many folks. The importance since its inception, have increased steadily and fortunately with being the capital of the Ottoman, it had experienced the most spectacular days in the history of the social and economic and political aspects. After the 18th century, Edirne has been faced with many negative situations like civil disturbances, natural disasters, invasions, wars and so on, and it has undergone tremendous changes in terms of human geography. Accordingly, the collapse of the folklore has moved to Edirne to a precise point. Therefore, legends which are one of the drumming products are preferred as a subject in research. The scope of our study has been delimited by the center of Edirne, county, towns and villages, legends which are compiled from written and oral culture the field in this area of interest have been brought together. In the research field, 'interview technique " is used. Identified in our study 241 legends is evaluated from which is named Stith Thompson's Motif Index of Folk Literature , a six-volume work on the basis and also motives are removed. In addition, legends were examined according to folklore study methods as a genre, content, functions, formation reasons, their messages and resources one by one.
