Özet
Resimli çocuk kitapları görsel okuma imkânı sunarak, okulöncesi dönemde çocuğun duyularını uyarmanın en etkili yolu olmaktadır. Kavram gelişimi, bu dönem çocuğunun düşünsel gelişimi açısından önemlidir. Resimli çocuk kitapları, görsel okuma yoluyla çocuklarda kavram gelişimini desteklemektedir. Bu çalışmada okulöncesi dönemi çocuklarında kavram gelişimini destekleyecek resimli bir çocuk kitabı tasarlamak amaçlanmaktadır. Kavram gelişimini desteklemek için mitolojik öykülerden yararlanmak bu çalışmanın diğer bir amacıdır. Seçilen mitolojik öykünün ilgi çekiciliği üzerinden çeşitli kavramların çocukta gelişimi hedeflenirken, aynı zamanda bu mitolojiye ilgi duyması ve merak etmesi için erken yaşta bir duyarlılık geliştirmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Okulöncesi dönemi resimli çocuk kitaplarında mitoloji konulu hikayelerin yetersiz olması nedeniyle, alandaki bu boşluğun kapatılmasına katkı sunacak mitolojik bir resimli kitap hazırlamak bu çalışmanın bir diğer önemli amacıdır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde mitlerin kökeni, mit masal ilişkisi, mit efsane ilişkisi ele alınmaktadır. Mit efsane ilişkisi ortaya konulduktan sonra, bu bağlamda efsanelerden örnekler verilmektedir. Çalışmada daha sonra mitolojik anlatılarda yer eden kavramların işleniş biçimi, ölüm-yaşam, korku-cesaret örnekleri üzerinden ele alınmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın konusu olan Simurg efsanesi, ele aldığı kavramlar ve farklı kültürlerde Simurg efsanesinin yer ediş biçimi açısından birinci bölümün son başlığı olarak incelenmektedir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, okulöncesi dönemi çocuklarının gelişim aşamaları incelenmiştir. Resimli çocuk kitabının çocuğun gelişim düzeyine uygun olarak hazırlanabilmesi için; çocuk gelişimi bilişsel, dilsel, duygusal ve sosyal yönleriyle ele alınmaktadır. Bir sonraki başlıktaysa, okulöncesi dönemde kavram gelişimi ve ii resimli çocuk kitaplarının kavram gelişim sürecine etkileri incelenmektedir. Bu bölümde, tasarlanacak resimli çocuk kitabında aktarılmak istenen kavramların, çocuk gerçekliğine uygun şekilde seçilmesi sağlanmıştır. Bu bölümde daha sonra okulöncesi döneme hitap eden çocuk kitaplarının türleri incelenmektedir. Bu bölümün son başlığındaysa resimli çocuk kitapları biçim ve içerik açısından ele alınmaktadır. Oluşturulacak hikayenin temel unsurları bu bölüme uygun biçimde oluşturulmuş olup biçim açısından dikkat edilmesi gereken unsurlar netleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde, duyguları ele alan resimli çocuk kitaplarından örnekler incelenmektedir. Olumlu ve olumsuz birbirinden farklı duygunun yer aldığı beş farklı kitap, bir önceki bölümde ele alınan biçim ve içerik ölçütlerine uygun olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu bölüm içindeki ikinci başlıktaysa, okulöncesi için tasarlanmış mitoloji temalı resimli kitaplardan örnekler incelenmektedir. Dördüncü bölümde,“öfke”duygusunun konu olarak seçilmesine karar verilmiş,“Ezo ve Simurg'un Yolculuğu”adlı hikâye bu kavram işlenerek oluşturulmuştur. Yine bu bölümde hikayenin gelişim aşamaları ve kitabın tasarımı sırasında kullanılan yöntem ve teknikler incelenmektedir.

Children's picture books are the most effective way to stimulate the child's sense perceptions in the preschool period, by providing the opportunity for visual reading. Concept development is important for the intellectual development of the child in this period. Children's picture books support concept development in children through visual reading. In this study, it is aimed to design an illustrated children's book that will support concept development in preschool children. Another aim of this study is to use mythological stories to support concept development. While aiming the development of various concepts in the child through the attractiveness of the chosen mythological story, it is also aimed to develop a sensitivity at an early age so that she is interested and curious about this mythology. Another important aim of this study is to prepare a mythological picture book that will contribute to closing this gap in the field, since there are enough stories about mythology in preschool children's picture books. In the first part of the study, the origin of myths, the relationship between myth and fairy tale, and the relationship between myth and legend are discussed. After revealing the myth-legend relationship, examples from legends are given in this context. Then, the way the concepts from the ground are handled in mythological narratives are discussed through examples of death-life, fear-courage. The Simurg legend, which is the subject of this study, is examined as the last title of the first chapter in terms of the concepts it deals with and the way the Simurg legend takes place in different cultures. In the second part of the study, the developmental stages of preschool children were examined. In order to prepare the children's picture book in accordance with the developmental level of the child; Child development is handled with its cognitive, linguistic, emotional and social aspects. In the next chapter, concept iv development in the preschool period and the effects of picture books on the concept development process are examined. In this section, it is ensured that the concepts to be conveyed in the children's picture book to be designed are selected in accordance with the reality of the child. Then, the types of children's books that appeal to the preschool period are examined. In the last chapter of this section, children's picture books are discussed in terms of form and content. The basic elements of the story to be created have been created in accordance with this section, and the elements to be considered in terms of form have been clarified. In the third part of the study, examples of children's picture books dealing with abstract concepts are examined. Five different books, which contain different abstract concepts, positive and negative, are evaluated in accordance with the format and content criteria discussed in the previous section. In the second chapter of this section, examples from mythology-themed picture books designed for preschoolers are examined. In the fourth chapter, it was decided to choose the concept of“anger”as the subject, and the story called“The journey of Ezo and Simurg”was created. The development stages of the story and the methods and techniques used during the design of the book are examined.
