Özet
İlerlemeci tarih anlayışı modern zamanda Avrupa'nın dönüşümüne yol açan bir dizi toplumsal hareket sonucu benimsenilen tarih anlayışıdır. Bu anlayış tarihsel işleyişin sürekli olarak ilkelden yetkinleşmeye doğru bir hareket halinde olduğunu kabul eder. Bu açıdan geçmişin bir bütün olarak aşılması gerektiğini iddia ederken, geleceği de inşa edilmesi gereken bir yapı olarak görür. Bu noktada gelecek belli idealler çerçevesinde değil, bilimsel bir temel üzerine inşa edilir. Bu temellendirme bir kuramcının tarih adına çeşitli varsayımsal serüvenler oluşturarak, tarihi belli aşamalar dizisiyle, nihai aşamada mükemmelleşeceği evrensel bir hareket tarzı üzerine oturtmasıyla olur. Tarihsel süreçlerin doğası üzerine yaptıkları yorumda yalnızca bir dinamiği ele alan bu kuramcılara göre, evrensel hareket tarzında ortaya çıkan farklılıkların tek nedeni hareket hızıdır. Daha ilerde olan daha hızlı, arkada olan ise daha yavaş hareket etmektedir yalnızca. Bu anlayış çerçevesinde şekillenen ve çağdaş siyaseti etkisi altına alan beş kuram çalışma kapsamında ele alınarak, bu kuramların toplumsal ve siyasal hayattaki yansımaları tespit edilecek, bunun yanında bilimsel geçerliliği sorgulanacaktır. Çalışmaya, konuyla ilgili literatürde var olan kaynaklar olabildiğince dahil edilerek temellendirmek amaçlanmıştır.

The progressive understanding of history is the understanding of history adopted as a result of a series of social movements that led to the transformation of Europe in modern times. This understanding accepts that the historical process is constantly moving from primitive to perfection. In this respect, while that claims that the past should be overcome as a whole, that also sees the future as a structure that needs to be built. At this point, the future is built on a scientific basis, not within the framework of certain ideals. This grounding happens when a theorist creates various hypothetical adventures in the name of history and bases history on a universal course of action, which it will perfect through a certain series of stages. According to these theorists, who consider only one dynamic in their interpretation of the nature of historical processes, the only reason for the differences in the universal movement style is the speed of movement. Those further ahead move faster, those behind only slower. Five theories that are shaped within the framework of this understanding and that affect contemporary politics will be discussed within the scope of the study, the reflections of these theories in social and political life will be determined, and their scientific validity will be questioned. It is aimed to base the study by including the resources available in the literature on the subject as much as possible.
