Özet

Amaç: Bu araştırma COVID-19 pandemi döneminde üniversite öğrencilerinin travmatik stres ve ruhsal belirtilerinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipteki çalışma, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesinde 2020-2021 akademik yılında merkez kampüslerinde bulunan fakülte, yüksekokul ve meslek yüksekokullarına kayıtlı öğrencilerle gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmanın örneklemini bilgilendirilmiş onam formunu okuyup onaylayan 1432 öğrenci oluşturdu. Araştırmanın verileri 09.11.2020-10.01.2021 tarihleri arasında Google Formlar aracılığıyla çevrimiçi platformda toplandı. Veri toplama aracı olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Travmatik Stres Belirti Ölçeği, Kısa Semptom Envanteri kullanıldı. Bulgular: Üniversite öğrencilerinin %45,6'sında olası Travma Sonrası Stres Bozukluğu (TSSB) belirtileri, %38,4'ünde olası TSSB belirtilerine eşlik eden depresyon saptandı. Kadın, ailesinin gelir düzeyi düşük, üst sınıflarda okuyan, geçmişte ve şuanda psikiyatrik hastalığı bulunan, COVID-19'a yakalanma ile ilgili endişe yaşayan, COVID-19'un zorluk yarattığını düşünen, COVID-19'un travma yarattığını düşünen, yakın çevresinde COVID-19 geçiren birey/bireyler bulunan, COVID-19 nedeniyle kayıp yaşayan, aile üyelerinin COVID-19'a yakalanmasından endişe duyan (p

Objective: This research was conducted to investigate the traumatic stress and mental symptoms of college students during the COVID-19 pandemic period. Materials and Methods: The descriptive type study was carried out at Çanakkale Onsekiz March University with students enrolled in faculties, colleges and vocational schools located in the city center in the 2020-2021 academic year. The sample of the research consisted of 1432 students who read and approved the informed consent form. The data of the research were collected on the online platform through Google Forms between 09.11.2020-10.01.2021. Personal Information Form, Traumatic Stress Symptom Scale, Brief Symptom Inventory were used as data collection tools. Results: Possible symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) were detected in 45.6% of university students and depression accompanying possible symptoms of PTSD was detected in 38.4% of them.
