Özet

Bu tez çalışmasında, Nusayrî mezhebi geleneğinde Şuyûhi'd-dinden Abdullah b. Muhammed el-Cünbülânî'nin (H. 235-287) kimliği, Nusayrî mezhebindeki konumu ve mezhebe olan katkıları incelenmiştir. Nusayrîlik, 3/9. asrın sonlarına doğru Muhammed b. Nusayr ile neşet eden, Hz. Ali'ye ulûhiyyet isnat eden gâlî bir fırkadır. Muhammed b. Nusayr'ın vefatıyla birlikte mezhebin otoritesi Muhammed b. Cündeb'e geçmiş, onun da vefat etmesiyle Nusayrî mezhebinin önderi Cünbülânî olmuştur. Dinî hassasiyetiyle ve ibadet sevgisiyle şöhret bulduğu aktarılan Cünbülânî'nin araştırıldığı bu çalışmada, onun şahsî ve ilmî kimliği, Nusayrî mezhebine hangi katkılarda bulunduğu, Nusayrîliğin onunla birlikte hangi kimliğe büründüğü, mezhepte hangi yenilikleri ihdas ettiği, mezhebin selefi ve halefi arasında nasıl bir bağlantı kurduğu gibi sorulara yanıt aranmıştır. Bu doğrultuda iki bölüme ayrılarak sistemleştirilen çalışmanın birinci bölümünde Cünbülânî'nin hayatı, ilmî kimliği, öğrencileri, Nusayrî edebiyatında nasıl yer aldığı, yaşadığı dönem ve eserlerinin genel özellikleri incelenmiştir. Cünbülânî'nin yaşantısının ve ilmî faaliyetlerinin Nusayrî mezhebi üzerindeki etkisi bu bölümde mercek altına alınmıştır. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde ise Cünbülânî'ye isnad edilen Îzâhu'l-misbâh: ed-dâl 'alâ sebîli'n-necâh ve Risâletü'l-Cünbülâniyye adlı eserler detaylı tetkik ve analiz edilmiştir. Eserlerin detaylı içeriği, yazılış amaçları, özgün yönleri, Nusayrî doktrininde yer alan temel kavramlara yer verip vermedikleri gibi mevzular bu kısımda irdelenmiştir. Nusayrî mezhebinin teşekkül döneminin doğru okunabilmesi ve Nusayrî doktrini ile yazılı edebiyatının temellerinin tespit edilebilmesi; Nusayrî mezhebinin ilk önderlerinden olan Cünbülânî'nin ve eserlerinin incelenmesiyle imkanlı hâle gelecektir.

This thesis examines the identity, position, and contributions of Abdullah b. Muhammad al-Junbulani (AH 235-287), one of the Shuyukh al-Din (religious elders) within the tradition of the Nusayri sect. Nusayrism is a ghali (extremist) sect that emerged through Muhammad b. Nusayr toward the end of the 3rd/9th century and attributes divinity to Ali. Following the demise of Muhammad b. Nusayr, the leadership of the sect passed to Muhammad b. Jundab, and upon his passing, al-Junbulani became the leader of the Nusayri sect. Investigating al-Junbulani, who is reported to have been renowned for his religious sensitivity and devotion to worship, this study seeks answers to questions regarding his personal and scholarly identity, his specific contributions to the Nusayri sect, the evolution of the Nusayri identity under his leadership, the innovations he introduced, and how he forged a connection between his predecessors and successors. Structured into two main chapters accordingly, the first chapter examines al-Junbulani's life, scholarly identity, his students, his portrayal in Nusayri literature, his historical milieu, and the general characteristics of his works. The impact of al-Junbulani's lifestyle and scholarly activities on the Nusayri sect is brought under scrutiny in this section. The second chapter provides a detailed examination and analysis of the works attributed to al-Junbulani: Īḍāḥ al-Miṣbāḥ: al-Dāll 'alā Sabīl al-Najāḥ and Risālat al-Junbulāniyyah. This section explores the detailed content of these works, their writing purposes, unique characteristics, and whether they incorporate the foundational concepts of the Nusayri doctrine. Ultimately, a precise reading of the formative period of the Nusayri sect and the identification of the foundations of Nusayri doctrine and its written literature are made possible through the examination of al-Junbulani—one of the early leaders of the sect—and his works.
