Özet
Yapılmış olan bu araştırma üç-dört yaş gelişim özelliği gösteren zihinsel engelli çocukların aldıkları eğitimin dil gelişimine etkisinin incelenmesi amacıyla planlanmıştır.Ankara il merkezinde bulunan Sosyal Hizmetler ve Çocuk Esirgeme Kurumuna ve Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı okullar arasından seçilen merkezlerde, bireysel eğitime, grup eğitimine ve kaynaştırma eğitimine devam eden, 3?4 yaş gelişim özelliği gösteren, 61 orta derecede zihinsel engelli çocuk bu araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Deneysel nitelikli olan bu araştırmada deney grubuna öntest-uygulama-sontest deseni uygulanırken, kontrol grubuna sadece öntest ve sontest verilmiştir. Kontrol ve deney grubuna öntest uygulanmıştır. Deney grubuna 4 hafta eğitim verildikten sonra sontest uygulanmış, kontrol grubu da sonteste dahil edilmiştir. Zihinsel engelli çocukların dil gelişim düzeylerini belirlemede Portage Erken Çocukluk Dönemi Eğitim Programları Kontrol Listesinin 3-4 yaş dil gelişimi bölümü kullanılmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel analizinde, zihinsel engelli çocukların 3-4 yaş dil gelişim becerileri düzeyi ile öntest ve sontest değerlendirmeleri arasındaki ilişki ?Pearson Ki-Kare Testi? kullanılmıştır Aldıkları Eğitim tipinin incelenmesi amacıyla Kruskall-Wallis Testi, aldıkları eğitime göre son testte göre analizinde ise ?Pearson Ki-Kare Testi? ve ?Fisher Kesin Ki-Kare Testi? kullanılmıştır. Aldıkları eğitim, uygulama süreci ve gruplar arasındaki ilişki ?Tekrarlı Ölçümlerde Varyans Analizi Testi? ile incelenmiştir.Uygulama süreci sonunda deney ve kontrol grubu arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu bulunmuştur.

This study has been planned with the purpose of studying the language development of mentally impaired children, whose development is arrested at the level of three-four year old, based on the education they receive.The sampling of this research consists of 61 mentally impaired children, whose development is arrested at the level of three-four year old, who attend the group trainings that only utilize individual education model and the integrated education programs, who receive education in special education institutions and pre-school institutions in Ankara city center. In this experimental study, while the experimental group was applied the pretest-application-finaltest pattern, the control group was given only the pretest and finaltest. This process was called the ?application process?. At the end of the 4-week education conducted for the experimental group children, the final test was completed and the control group children were also included in the final test. 3-4 year old language development section of Portage Early Education Program Checklist was used for identifying the language development levels of the mentally impaired children. In the statistical analysis of the data, ?Chi-Square Test? was used for the relation between the 3-4 year old language development skills of mentally impaired children and the pretest and finaltest evaluations. The relation between the application process and the experimental and control group and the relation between the application process and the type of education received was studied through ?The One-Way Analysis of Variance Test?. A significant difference was found between the application process and the experimental and control group. And also the tests of kruskall wallis and pearso ki kare were used in this research.
