Özet
Yeni bir milli devletin oluşumunda siyasal sosyalizasyon önemli bir süreçtir.Siyasal iktidarın meşrulaştırılmasında sembollerin önemli bir yeri vardır.yeni bir milli devlet oluşturma sürecinde, kaçınılmaz olarak sistem, kendisine bağlı ve sadık vatandaşları yaratmak konumundadır. Bu süreçte, insanların daha önceki yapıyla olan sadakatlerinden koparılması ve yeni yapıya bağlanması hedeflenir. Böylece yeni bir kimlik ve benlik oluşturulmak istenir.Bu çalışmada, milliyetçilik, milliyetçiliğin tarih sahnesine çıkışı, Osmanlı son döneminde ortaya çıkan milliyetçi akımlar, milli mücadele ve Cumhuriyet döneminde oluşan milliyetçi düşüncelere kavramsal olarak bakıldıktan sonra; simgeler ile bu simgelerin ulusu dönüştürme aşaması irdelenecektir. Bu simgelerin içeriğini oluşturmuş olduğu ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'niniktidar ideolojisinin kurumsallaştığı Onuncu Yıl törenlerine detaylı olarak bakılacaktır.

In the establishment of a new nation-state, political socialization is a significant process. Symbols have significant places in justification of political authority and formation of political indentities. System, inevitably, requires to create loyal and committed citizens while establishing a new nation-state. Through this process, it is intended to make people break up from their former political structures and to make them connect to new structures. Hence, it is is aimed to establish a new identity and selfhood.Within the scope of this study, nationalism, emergence of nationalism, nationalist movements that arose at the latest state of Ottoman era, nationalist struggles and nationalist attitudes emerged at Republican era will be theoretically examined, and then symbols that have become main reference during the nation-state formation process of Turkish Republic, will be analyzed. Additionally, 10th Year Anniversary Ceremonies, where these symbols have been materialized and ideology of the political authority of Turkish Republic have been institutionalized, will be looked upon in detail.
