Özet (Çeviri)
SUMMARY Most of the weapons and moulds dated the second millenium in Anatolia belong to ~the Assyrian Trade Colonies Period. Especially Kültepe excavations enlighten the weapon styles produced during that period in Anatolia. Anatolian weapons developed in two separate peiod; a) Early Bronz Age, b) Assyrian Trade Colonies Period. During both periods Anatolian weapons were influenced by those from northern Mezopotamia and Syria. However, all those influences caused Anatolian weapons to modify. Anatolian inhabitants produced new weapon styles which were suitable for their pleasure using available ones. Some of these styles carried on their existance until the end of the second millenium. Most of the weapons dated the second millenium in Anatolia were unearthed in Kültepe. They were found both in the mound and Karum. The graves belonging to the levels IV and I in Karum enriched the Anatolian weapon collections. The workshops discovered in Kültepe have documented the weapon production. Most- weapon moulds unearthed in central Anatolia are from those workshops mentioned above. Some of the weapon moulds were found in private houses. The owner of these moulds either cast the metal they melted or took the mould to the professional workshop owners to get the molten metal cast. It was observed that bronze was first widely used in the production of arrows in Assyrian Trade Colonies Period. Some weapon styles which belonged that period kept their existance by the mid-second millenium. There is small number of weapon moulds dated Hittite Period inAnatolia. Most of these weapon moulds were unearthed in Boğazköy and Alacahöyük. Rich workshops of this period have not been found yet. The weapons of Hittite Period kept their styles. The weapon styles which were first seen in the Hittite Empire* Period have also been observed. The southern influences that have been seen on the weapons of the early second millenium have also been seen in that period. However, some weapons which were produced under the influence of the west dated the second half of the second millinium have been found, too. A sword found in Boğazköy and findings of Şarkışla examplify the developed weapon styles of the second millenium. Although the weapon styles seen on the art products with relieves enlighten the collection of that period, the number of their original ones is little. The original weapons made of precious metals, which were described in the written documents, have not been found yet. DOKfUaWaSTON MERHBZİ
