Özet
Araştırmanın genel amacı, Web Tabanlı Öğrenme (WTÖ) ve geleneksel yüz-yüze öğrenme ortamlarının karşılaştırılarak etkililik derecesinin belirlenmesidir. Bu açıdan, Görsel Programlama-I dersinde, WTÖ ortamı ile geleneksel yüz-yüze öğrenme ortamlarının öğrenci başarısına etkisinin incelenmesi ve öğrencinin WTÖ ortamında kural tabanlı veri madenciliği yöntemi ile değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.Araştırmaya 2010-2011 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar döneminde, Mardin Artuklu Üniversitesi Midyat Meslek Yüksekokulu Bilgisayar Programcılığı programı birinci sınıf `Görsel Programlama-I' dersini alan öğrenciler katılmıştır. Araştırma, öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu deneysel desene göre planlanmış ve yürütülmüştür. 20 öğrenci deney grubunu, 20 öğrenci ise kontrol grubunu oluşturmuştur.Deney grubu dersi WTÖ ortamında, kontrol grubu ise geleneksel sınıf ortamında takip etmiştir. İki grupta da 2010-2011 öğretim yılı itibariyle uygulanmaya başlanan İnsan Kaynaklarının Mesleki Eğitim Yoluyla Geliştirilmesi Projesi (İKMEP) Meslek Yüksekokulları öğretim programında mevcut olan Görsel Programlama dersinin kapsamında yer alan üç konu işlenmiştir. Bu konular ?Operatörler?, ?Fonksiyonlar? ve ?Kontrol Yapıları ve Döngüler? konularıdır.Araştırmanın verileri, öntest-sontest olarak kullanılan başarı testi, hazırlanan WTÖ sisteminin kaydettiği veriler ve WTÖ sistemi katılımcı anketi ile toplanmıştır.Deney grubunun ve kontrol grubunun ön-test ve son-test puanlarına göre, kullanılan her iki yöntem de etkili bulunmuştur. Son-test puanlarının ortalamalarına göre, deney grubundaki öğrenciler kontrol grubundaki öğrencilerden daha başarılı olmuşlardır.Araştırma amacıyla hazırlanan WTÖ sisteminin öğrencileri yönlendirmesi, hem öğrencinin başarısız olduğu noktaları daha kısa sürede vurgulaması hem de teknik olarak sisteme güven duyulması açısından önemli görülmüştür. Ayrıca ilgili WTÖ sisteminin öğrenciyi denetleme imkânı sağlaması da değerlendirmenin güvenirliğini arttırmıştır.Deney grubuna uygulanan katılımcı anketi sonucunda WTÖ sisteminin daha rahat bir ortam sağladığı ve tartışmaya katılımı arttırdığı görülmüştür.

This study is to observe the effects of web-based and traditional learning environments on students success and to evaluate students in web-based learning environment. In this respect, in the course of Visual Programming?I, it is aimed to analyze the effects of web based learning and traditional face to face learning to the students? success, as well as to evaluate them through the rule-based data mining in web-based learning atmosphere.The study was conducted on first grade students getting the course of Visual Programming-I studying computer programming in Midyat Vocational High School of Mardin Artuklu University in 2010-2011 Academic Year spring semester. The study was conducted with pre and post tests control groups and planned suitably to experimental design. Both experiment and control groups consist of 20 students each. The experiment group studied the subject in web-based environment, and the control group studied it in a traditional environment. In both groups, starting to be applied following the academic year of 2010-2011, three subjects in Visual Programming Course, which is in the curriculum of Humon Resources Development Through Vocational Educational Project Vocational High Schools, were studied. The subjects follows as `?Operators?, ?Functions? and ?Control Structures and Loops?.The data of the study was gathered through web-based learning system attendant survey, pre and post tests used as success test and the saved data of web-based prepared learning system.According to the grades of pre tests and post tests of experiment and control groups, both methods were found effective. According to the avarages of the post test grades, the students in experiment group were more successful than the control group.That web-based learning system, which was prepared for the research, directed the students was evaluated as significant in the extend of both its stressing the points the students failed in a shorter time and its technical trustwothiness for the system. Besides, providing the students with a controlling opportunity, the related web-based learning system increased the reliability of the evaluation.As a result of the participatory survey applied to Experiment Group, web-based learning system provided more comfortable atmosphere and also increased the number of participants involved in the discussions.
