This thesis aims at examining and analyzing the process of the Turkis theses within the frame of the implementation of Turkey's Cyprus policy in the period of 1945-1993. It also aimes at examining the internal and external factors effecting these changes. In the period of 1945-1960, the Turkey's position in newly emerged international system, in the years following the end of Second World War is examined. The developments beginning with the year of 1948 in which Turkey began to be more interested with Cyprus are also analysed; then, gainning international importance of the problem in 1954 and the establishment of Cyprus Republic in 1960. In the period of 1960-1974, the Turkish theses within the frame of the implementation of Turkey's Cyprus policy aimed to survive the Cyprus Republic in accordance with the agreements up to 1963" are analysed. The changes in Turkey's foreign policy in 1964 affected Turkey's Cyprus theses, so that from 1968, the search for different solutions were to be considered within the frame of the internal and external factors. In the period of 1974-1986, some differences began to emerge in Turkish theses after the Turkish intervention; and this new situation increased the Turkish Cypriots' effects on the Turkish theses for the Cyprus problem. The internal and external factors affecting the new developments with the establishment of TRNC in 1983 are also analysed. In the period of 1986-1993, the effect of the final developments on Turkish theses and internal and external factors framing these effects are examined and analysed.
