Özet
Şer?iyye sicilleri esas itibarıyla, içerikleri yönüyle bakıldığında oldukça kapsamlıdırlar. Çünkü Osmanlı Devleti?nin hem mahkeme tutanaklarının hem de merkez ile taşra arasındaki yazışmaların kaydedildiği defterlerdir. Bu çalışma 2114 numaralı Safranbolu Şer?iyye sicil defterinin 1-68 sayfaları arası esas alınarak hazırlanmış olup 1807-1819 yıllarına aittir. Tez; içindekiler, giriş, hüküm ve özet, transkrip ve değerlendirme kısımlarından oluşmaktadır. Dünya Miras Kenti olarak kabul edilen Safranbolu?nun tarihi, tez çalışmasının giriş bölümünde özetlenmiştir. Sonraki bölümde 2114 no?lu şer?iyye sicilinin hüküm ve özetleri yer almıştır. Defterin içeriğine yönelik genel bir değerlendirme, belgelerde geçen köy ve mahalle isimleriyle meslekler de tespit edilebildiği kadarıyla son bölüme konulmuştur. Ekmek ve et narhı, darp, hakaret ve namus davaları, evlilik ve boşanma davaları, vakıf ilanları, miras davaları, gasp ve katl davaları, tereke davaları, tarla sınırının ihlali, şakilerin yakalanması, vergiler, asker ihtiyacı ve dağıtılması, halktan toplanacak askeri yardımlar, devlet memurlarının tayin, azl ve yer değiştirmesi, görevlilerin yaptığı harcamalar ile çoğunlukla da fermân ve buyuruldu suretleri çalışmamıza esas teşkil eden 2114 no?lu şer?iyye sicil defteri muhteviyatındaki konulardır.

Ser?iyye register documents in principle are very comprehensive with regard to their contents as they are the main written documents of Ottoman Empire used to register both court records and the correspondence between the central government and the provinces. This study has been prepared on the basis of pages 1-68 of Safranbolu Ser?iyye register document numbered 2114, and it covers the years 1807-1819. The thesis made up of some sections as the content, the introduction, the abstract, the transcription and the evaluation. In the introduction section of thesis, the history of Safranbolu accepted as World Heritage City today is summarized. In the next section the judgements and their abstract belonging to ser?iyye register numbered 2114 takes place. In the last section, names of villages and quarters as well as the people?s occupations in the documents are disclosed as much as they are identified. The Ser?iyye register document numbered 2114, the study subject, consists of a number of topics such as officially fixed price of bread and meat , ponding, insult and pudicity trials, marriage and divorce cases, foundations? announcements, the violation of field borders, the arrestments of bandits, the taxes, the soldier need and dispatching of troops, the aid collected from the public for military needs; appointment,dismission and rotation of the civil servants, expenses of the officials, mostly the copies of firmans(imperial edicts) and other commands.
