Özet
Türkiye'nin yakın siyasi tarihini inceleyen bu çalışmamız iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Öncelikle giriş bölümünde çalışmanın altyapısını oluşturmak adına Türkiye'de demokrasinin yerleşmesinde büyük adım olan ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarihinde siyasal, sosyal, ekonomik ve toplumsal açıdan önemli bir yere sahip olan çok partili parlamenter sistemin ilk dönemlerinden 27 Ekim 1957 seçimlerine kadar dönemde DP ile CHP arasındaki ilişkinin genel değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Çalışmamızın birinci bölümünde ise Türkiye'de siyasal partilerin ve demokrasinin tarihinde önemli bir aşama oluşturan 27 Ekim 1957 seçimlerinden 27 Mayıs 1960 Askeri Müdahalesi ile sonuçlanan dönemdeki iktidar ve muhalafet ilişkileri etrafında meydana gelen olayların basına yansıması (Zafer ve Ulus gazeteleri) incelenmektedir. Ayrıca DP'nin uygulamlarına karşı artan toplumsal muhalefet ile idareyi ele alan TSK'nın 15 Ekim 1961 seçimlerine kadar geçen süreçteki meydana gelen olaylardaki rolü üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmamızın genel hatlarını iktidar muhalefet ilişkilerinin basın perspektifinden incelenmesi oluşturmaktadır. Bu bakımdan çalışmamızın ikinci bölümü incelenen dönem içerisindeki basının genel durumu hakkında bilgi vermektedir. Özellikle DP'nin basın politikaları, CHP'nin basın yaklaşımı, dönemin gazete ve gazetecileri ve 27 Mayıs 1960 Askeri Müdahale sonrası basının yeni durumu hakkında inceleme yapılmıştır.

This study that is analysing the recent Turkish political history consists of two chapters. At first, introduction in of chapter, on behalf of forming the infrastructure of the study, the general evaluation of the relation between the Democrat Party and the Republican People's Party from the first era of the multi party parliamentarian system to the 27 October 1957 election which was a big step for the settlement of the democracy in Turkey and had a significant place in terms of political, social, and economic situaitons has been made. In the first chapter of the study, the reflection of the press (Zafer and Ulus Newspapers) to the events happened with respect to the power-opposition relations between the 1957 election which was an important level in the history of Turkish political parties and democracy and the 27 May 1960 Military Intervention has been examined. Besides the study also includes the roles of both the social opposition raised against the Democrat Party politics and of the military that took power on the events that occurred until the 15 October 1961 election. The general line of the study is composed of researching the power-opposition relations from the perspective of the press. In this regard the second part of the study is aiming to give information about the general situation of the press during the period in question. The press politics of the Democrat Party, the approach of the Republican People's Party with respect to the press, the newspapers and journalists of the period and the new situation of the press after the 27 May 1960 Military Investigation are particulary investigated.
