The Middle East used to have a complex identity with its Arabs, Azeris, Kurds, Persians, Turks, Armenians, Jews and many others. As a region, the Middle East has been a major center of the world affairs. Islam, Christianity, Judaism and numerous other belief systems established within the region. Various kinds of relationships and conflicts have been occurred between the tribes, groups or countries until the 2000s. The Turkish-Jewish relationship which named as the Turkish-Israeli relationship, with the establishment of Israel in 1948 has been one of the unusual relationship in the Middle East. The bases of this research were to explore and identify the relationship and the conflicts between Turkey and Israel. Although there are some academic works on this area, it is worth to focus on the relationship between Israel and Turkey in the era of Justice and Development Party (JDP) which has been in the power since 2002. This research investigates the turning points in the Turkish-Israeli relationship during the JDP era and, questions the results of challenges and the alliance changes in the Middle East particularly after the Arab Spring.The ultimate goal of this research is to generate knowledge for stimulating further research on the Middle East studies and particularly on the Turkish-Israeli relationship.
