The constantly increasing number of smart devices used in every aspect of humans' life made the Internet of Things (IoT) possible. IoT raised many challenges in various different fields including wireless communication and networking. In order to adequately address these challenges, efficient experimental tools are vital. This paper proposes BlueScan, a powerful experimentation platform which brings rich functionality to researches in the field. The platform is meant for gathering Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) estimates from multiple devices along with hardware/software sensor data. BlueScan allows tracking values visually in real time and saving data for post processing. The platform is based on Android OS version 4.2 or higher and employs Bluetooth technology for communication. BlueScan is the first platform of its kind available on Google Play for free. This document explains full functionality of the proposed software and gives suggestions for its possible use.
