Bus scheduling is one of the most-important problems in the transportation applications that have taken attention in the operational research literature since the complexity of the problem. Since the number of variables is very big, and the real life problems are complex and challenging, bus operating companies usually have difficulty to solve this type of problems. The additional cost can occur when company use lots of buses. On the other hand, the service quality may decrease using fewer buses. The bus scheduling problem are important, to avoid the mentioned disadvantages. This study deals with the bus scheduling problem and its solution approaches. The problem is described, and some studies are examined in literature. Different types of scheduling problems and their solution techniques are reviewed such as facility scheduling, job scheduling and vehicle routing problem. An Integer Programming Model is expressed, and four different problem which have random data was solved to test the model. The solutions are provided for these experiments by LINDO. The results that are LINDO's outcomes are analyzed to see whether results are logical or not. Response ability of the model was seen by varying the parameters. As a result of tests, it obtained that the integer model solutions are proper for New Horizon Travel Ltd. Thus, the developed integer model was also used for Horizon Travel Ltd to op- UP:22/08/2014-06:39:29 WM:22/08/2014-06:39:30 M:MA981-7-FY A:13a1 R:1301500 C:8A003D4CE26C27EF72F684A5B5B8B886E3913FBF timize the number of trips. Using the developed model, the number of required trips is found for identified time intervals.
