Özet
Küreselleşme ya da neoliberalizmle birlikte insanlığın artık yeni (postmodern) bir toplumda yaşamaya başladığına dair birçok tez ileri sürüldü. Bu tezlerin ortak noktalarından biri bu yeni toplumda ütopyaya yer olmadığıdır.“There Is No Alternative”. Dolayısıyla küreselleşme ya da neoliberalizm karşıtı hareketlerin ana gündemlerinden biri“alternatifiniz ne?”sorusuna –elbette geçmişin tezahürü olmayacak- cevap olacak ütopya sorunudur. Eskiden beri insanlığın kurtuluş ve mutluluk umutlarının mahfuzu olan ütopyanın öldüğünü ilan edenler ve de bu“ölüm”e samimiyetle yas tutanlar, ütopya'yı ortaya çıktığı ilk biçimi ile alma hatasına düşmektedirler. Ütopyalar, belli bir tarihsel döneme mahsus rasyonalitenin ürünüdür ve farklı tarihsel dönemler farklı rasyonalitelere sahip olabilir. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma temel olarak, modern toplumdan birçok açıdan farklı bir ruha sahip olan postmodern ya da neoliberal toplumunda ütopyayı da yeni bir mantalite ile ele almak gerektiği ileri sürülmektedir. Bir distopyaya dönüşmesine cevaz vermeyecek bir yeni ütopyacılığı anlamak ve tasavvur etmek için kapitalizm birlikte gelişen ve belli bir rasyonaliteye dayanan iktidar ilişkilerine dair Foucault'nun düşüncesi takip edilecektir. Distopyaya varmayacak bir ütopyanın kuruluşunu sağlayacak özgürlük pratiklerinin ve yeni bir öznellik anlayışının geliştirilmesinin bir imkanı olarak Foucault'nun“varoluş estetiği”anlayışı ele alınacaktır.

During the times of globalization or neoliberalism various theses have been asserted concerning the fact that humanity have now been started living in a new (postmodern) society. One of the common ground of these theses is the fact that there exists no allowance for utopia in this new society.“There Is No Alternative”. Therefore, one of the primary agenda of movements opposing globalization or neoliberalism is the problem of utopia that would constitute a response, eschewing from being manifestation of the past, to the question of“what is your alternative?”. Ones who enunciated the death of utopia which since past times have been a shelter of humanity's hopes of emancipation and happiness, and who sincerely lamented for this“death”, are mistaken in taking utopia in its initial form of manifestation. Utopias are the product ofrationality peculiar to a specific historical period and different historical periods might have different forms of rationalities. Accordingly, this study mainly asserts that in a postmodern or neoliberal society, having a different spirit from modern society in various dimensions, it is necessary to approach utopia with a new mentality as well. In order to understand and imagine a new utopianism which would disallow turning into a dystopia, Foucault's thought concerning power relations which depends on specific rationalities and develops with capitalism will be pursued. Foucault's consideration of“aesthetics of existence”as the possibility of developing of an understanding of a new subjectivity and of the freedom practices that ensure founding a utopia far from turning into a dystopia will be discussed.
