Özet
Bu tezin amacı, 90'lı yıllardan günümüze çağdaş sanatın geçirdiği dönüşümlerin, ideoloji ve sermaye eksenin de incelenmesidir. Dönemin sosyal ve politik olayları göz ardı edilmeden yapılan bu incelemede görülecektir ki, çağdaş sanatta, muhalif olmanın ya da çağdaş olabilmenin ön koşulu, sanatın ve sanatçının yaşanılan dönemden ve hayattan kopuk olmamasıdır. Birinci bölümde; sanatın eleştirel boyutunun tarihsel köklerinden geldiğini, hayatla olan bağının da ne derece önemli olduğunu görmekteyiz. Ayrıca 20. yüzyıl başlarında ideolojilerin kıskacındaki sanatsal örneklerin incelenmesi, günümüz ile geçmişin kıyaslanabilmesi ve bugünü anlamamız için çeşitli ipuçları sunmaktadır. 1990'lı yıllardan itibaren özellikle Türkiye ve dünya çapında yaşanan sosyo-politik dönüşümlerin çağdaş sanattaki yansımaları gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. İkinci bölümde incelenen yeni orta sınıf ve ülke siyasetinin hatırı sayılır rolünün çağdaş sanatın üzerindeki etkileri gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu durum, 2000'li yılların çağdaş sanat pratiklerinin nasıl belirlendiğinin gösterilmesi acısından önemlidir. 90'lardan günümüze seçtiğimiz bu dönemdeki sanatçı ve inisiyatiflerin dönemleriyle hesaplaşmaların da önemli bir yer tuttuğunu görmekteyiz. Günümüz çağdaş muhalif sanatından örneklerin seçilip derlendiği son bölümde politik temalı kolektif sergilerin, özellikle ''Ateşin Düştüğü Yer'' sergisi ve diğer kapsamlı kolektif sergilerin Türkiye'de güncel siyaseti eleştirmeleri ve yeni bir dil yaratma peşinde olmaları kayda değer örneklerdendir. Bu gibi örnekler günümüz çağdaş sanatının eleştirel boyutunun hangi aşamalara ulaştığını göstermesi açısından önemli bir yere sahiptir. Yapılan röportajlarda da ideolojinin gündelik yaşama yansımaları ve sanatçıların üretimlerinde ne gibi etkilere sahip olduğu incelenmektedir.

The objective of this thesis is to examine the transformations through which the contemporary art has gone since the 90's up to these days with consideration of ideology and capital. It will be evident in this research, which has been done without ignoring the social and political events of the period, that the pre-condition of being an opponent or contemporary in the contemporary art is the fact that the art and the artist do not break loose from the period being lived and life. In the first section, what we see is that the critical dimension of art comes from historical roots and how significant its connection with life is. Furthermore, it gives various clues for examination of artistic examples, which are in the grip of ideologies at the beginning of the 20th century; comparison of today and the past and understanding today. The echoes of the socio-political transformations gone through since the 1990's particularly in Turkey and all over the world in the contemporary art have been tried to be shown. In the second section, the effects of the remarkable role of the new middle class and the country politics on the contemporary art have been tried to be shown. This fact is important in terms of showing how the contemporary art practices of the 2000's are determined. We observe that the settlements of the artists and initiatives in this period, which we have picked up, with their periods since the 90's up to this day occupy an important space. In the last section in which examples of the contemporary opponent art of today have been selected and compiled, the fact that collective exhibitions with a political theme; especially the exhibition“Ateşin Düştüğü Yer”and other comprehensive collective exhibitions criticize the current politics in Turkey and are after creating a new language is among remarkable examples. Such examples hold a significant place in terms of showing which stages the critical dimension of the contemporary art of today has reached. In the interviews made, the reflections of the ideology on daily life and what kind of impacts it has on the products of artists are examined.
