Özet
Sesin plastik sanatlarda edindiği yer ve günümüz sanatında ki konumu, onu güncel sanat için önemli bir araç ve enstrüman haline getirmiştir. Bu bağlamda yapılan tez çalışmasında özellikle sesin modern ve post modern dönem sanatı içerisinde yer edinme süreci belgelerle ve örneklerle anlatılmaya çalışılırken, aynı zamanda ses fiziği ve ses kayıt teknolojilerinde ki gelişmelerin sanat ile ilişkisel etkileri hakkında anlatımlar da yer almaktadır. Bir çok sanat akımı için yardımcı öğe olarak önemli yeri olan ses, aynı zamanda farklı dönemlerde çeşitli sanatçılar tarafından da tek başına bir midyum olarak kullanılmış ve bununla ilgili önemli çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Sesin sanat içerisinde şekillenme sürecinin teknolojik alt yapı ile doğrudan bağlantılı olması durumu, özellikle 80'li yıllardan sonra dijital ses teknolojilerinin gelişmesi ile birlikte, çevresel ses kavramının da ortaya çıkmasını sağlamış, bu da sesin heykelleşmesi noktasında önemli bir plastik değer olarak kazanılmasını sağlamıştır. Bunlarla birlikte 2000'li yıllarda ses sanatına bağlı olarak ses ve mekan akustiği kavramlarının güncel sanatta izlenmesiyle birlikte, çevresel ses algısının oluşumu ve beraberinde gelişen teknik olanakların çok çeşitli bir boyut almasıyla da yeni üretim yöntemlerine kapı açılmıştır. Marchel Duchamp'ın daha 1912 de ortaya koyduğu sesin heykelleşmesi kavramının günümüz sanatında özellikle 2000'ler sonrası dönemde kendine yön bulması ve sesin nesneden ayrışarak çok boyutlu bir araca dönüşmesi durumu ile birlikte tüm bunların kuramsal alt yapısı, yapılan tez çalışmasında farklı boyutlarıyla ortaya konulmaya çalışılmaktadır.

Both its place in the current art environment and its state in plastic arts make the sound an important mean and instrument to the contemporary art. In this context, while this thesis study is specifically aiming to explain how the sound has been performing in the process to open a path for itself in the modern and post modern art periods presenting documents and examples. This study also covers the impact of the interaction of both the improvements in the sound physics and in the sound recording technologies with art. The sound, as an important supportive element to many artistic approaches, has been used as a separate art medium and give way to important artistic works and researches performances. The fact that the embodiment of the sound in the art has a direct correlation with technological background, together with the digital sound technologies after 80s resulted in the emerge give way to surface surround sound concept. In turn, this critically affected the sculptural existence of the sound and thus its existence as an important aesthetic art form. Additionally, in 2000s, pursuing the sound and field acoustics concepts in the contemporary art resulted in the existence of the surround sound perception. All alone these improvements, technological developments open up the opportunities to new production methods. This thesis aims to demonstrate the different dimensions of the improvements in the sound concept including the sculpturing of the sound concept coined by Marchel Duchamp in 1912, its effort to find a direction in the contemporary art after 2000s and the separation of the sound from object and its transformation to a multidimensional medium, all these theoretical background.
