Özet
Bu araştırma Yüksek Öğretime Giriş Sınavı (YGS) ve Lisans Yerleştirme Sınavı (LYS) uygulamalarında yer alan coğrafya sorularının öğretmen görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda tarama modelinde betimsel bir çalışma ortaya konmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında örneklem olarak, Ankara İli'ne bağlı Çankaya, Etimesgut, Sincan, Yenimahalle, Keçiören, Altındağ ve Mamak ilçelerindeki ortaöğretim kurumlarında görev yapan 101 coğrafya öğretmeni basit tesadüfi örneklem seçime yöntemi ile seçilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacı tarafından konu ile ilgili kaynakların incelenmesiyle oluşturulan anket formu hazırlanmış ve örneklem grubu içerisinde yer alan coğrafya öğretmenlerine uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda coğrafya öğretmenlerinin YGS ve LYS coğrafya sorularına yönelik görüşlerinin cinsiyete, hizmet sürelerine, çalıştıkları kuruma ve okul türüne göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği görülmüştür. Buna karşın coğrafya öğretmenlerinin büyük bir bölümünün YGS ve LYS coğrafya sorularının coğrafya öğretim programıyla uyumlu olmadığı görüşünde oldukları tespit edilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the geography questions in The Transition to Higher Education Examination (abbreviated as YGS in Turkey) and Undergraduate Placement Exam (abbreviated as LYS in Turkey) according to teachers' opinions. In this respect, a descriptive study was performed in the screening model. In the scope of the study, 101 geography teachers working in the secondary schools in Çankaya, Etimesgut, Sincan, Yenimahalle, Keçiören, Altındağ and Mamak districts of Ankara province were selected as a sample by simple random sample selection method. As a data collection tool, a questionnaire was prepared by the researcher by examining the related sources and applied to the geography teachers in the sample group. As a result of the study, it was seen that geography teachers' opinions about the geography questions of LYS and YGS did not show a significant difference according to gender, length of service, institution they work and type of school. On the other hand, according to most of the geography teachers it was found that that the geography questions of LYS and YGS are not compatible with geography education program.
