Özet
17.yy'ın önemli düşünürlerinden olan Spinoza'nın conatus düşüncesi bu tezin konusudur. Çalışmada genel itibariyle Spinoza'nın Etika adlı eserinden hareketle tezin konusu açıklanmaya çalışılacaktır. Bu tezin amacı conatus öğretisinin Spinoza felsefesinde ne kadar önemli bir yeri olduğunu detaylarıyla göstermektir. Conatus kavramı, Etika'da üçüncü bölüm altıncı önermede, her şey kendinde olduğu ölçüde kendi varlığında sürmeye çabalar. Her şeyin kendinde olduğu ölçüde çabaladığı bu durum sadece insan için değil Tanrıdan dolayı varlığa gelen tüm kipler (modus), için de geçerlidir. Dolayısıyla conatus, kiplerin varlığa geldikleri için çabalamak durumunda oldukları bir şey olarak karşımıza çıkar. Bu çalışmada conatus'un Spinoza düşüncesindeki yeri; insanın Tanrı'nın zorunlu doğasını anlamasında önemli bir kavram olmasıyla, insan davranışı ve duygularındaki rolüyle, etik anlayışındaki konumuyla analiz edilecektir.

One of the important thinkers of the 17th century, Spinoza's conatus idea is the subject of this thesis. İn this work, it will be tried, to explain the topic of the thesis regarding Spinoza's Etika. The purpose of this thesis is to show the importance of conatus idea in the philosopy of Spinoza in detail. İn the sixth proposition of the third chopter of Etika, the concept of conatus efforts to own existence as long as everything in yourself. This situation, in which everything struggles as much as they can, applies not only to human but also to all mods coming to existence due to god. So conatus, comes forword as an idea in which mods need to strive as they come to existence. İn this study, the place of conatus in Spinoza's way of thinking will be analyzed by means of human's being a significant consept in perceiving god's indispensable nature, its role in human behauior and emotions and its standing (position) in ethical understanding.
