Özet
XIX. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında basın hayatında faaliyet gösteren Basîret Gazetesi'nde eğitim, sağlık, sosyal, politik ve ekonomik alanda hem Osmanlı Devleti hem de dünyadaki olaylarla ilgili değişime ve gelişmelere dair haberler yer almıştır. Özellikle 1874 yılında Anadolu'da ortaya çıkan kıtlık gibi önemli olaylarla ilgili haberler memlekette yankı uyandırmış, toplanan iâneler Emniyet Sandığı'nda toplanmış ve kurulan İâne Komisyonu ile ülkenin dört bir tarafından yardımlar toplanarak gazetenin toplumsal hayattaki rolü artmıştır. Basîret Gazetesi halkın anlayabileceği sade bir dil kullanması ve halkında gazeteye yazı göndermesi ve gönderilen yazıların aynen yayınlanması tarafsız gazetecilik yaptığını göstermektedir. Bu çalışma ile 1874 yılında ülke içindeki ve dışındaki olaylarla ilgili değişim ve gelişimler arşiv ve monografik kaynaklar ışığında irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla 1874 yılı Basîret Gazetesi'nde yayınlanan 292 (1121-1413) nüsha taranmıştır.

Basîret newspaper, which was active in the press in the second half of the nineteenth century, included news about changes and developments in the Ottoman Empire and world events in education, health, social, political and economic fields. Especially, femine news in 1874 were poopular in the news. The aid collected was collected in the Safety Fund and the assistance of the Council of the Assembly was increased and the role of the newspaper in the social life increased. Basîret newspaper uses a simple language that the public can understand, and it sends an article to the newspaper in its people and the publication of the articles sent to it shows that it is an independent journalist. With this study, in 1874, the changes and developments related to the events inside and outside of the country have been studied in the light of archives and monographic sources. For this purpose, 292 (1121-1413) copies which were published in Basîret newspaper in 1874 were scanned.
