Özet
Son yüzyılda insanın etkisi ile doğada artan bozulmalar, biyosferin tamir edebileceğinden çok daha yoğun hale gelmiştir. Doğadaki bozulmaların önüne geçilebilmesinin en etkili yollarından birisi de doğa eğitimleridir. Etkili okul dışı eğitim programlarının hazırlanması ve uygulanması, yetişecek nesillerin doğaya yönelik farkındalıklarını geliştirecektir. Bu konudaki literatür ayrıntılı şekilde incelendiğinde Türkiye'deki okul dışı doğa etkinliklerinin sayısının az olduğu görülmektedir. Özellikle biyolojik çeşitlilik odaklı ve bir şehre (Balıkesir) özel uygulanabilecek etkinlik programına rastlanmamıştır. Bu yönleri ile çalışma, okul dışı eğitimde alternatif etkinlikler sunması açısından önem taşımaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı; biyolojik çeşitlilik konusunda etkinlikler tasarlamak, bu etkinlikleri geliştirmek, geliştirilen etkinlikleri uygulamak, değerlendirmek ve tanıtmaktır. Çalışma nitel araştırma türlerinden olan, eylem araştırmasıdır. Etkinlikler, sorgulamaya dayalı öğrenmenin, rehberli sorgulama türüne uygun olarak oluşturulmuştur. Etkinliklerin amaçları seçmeli bir ders olan Çevre Eğitimi dersinin kazanımlarına göre belirlenmiştir. Bu planlama ile 15 etkinlik oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan etkinliklerde özellikle öğrencilerin yakın çevrelerinde görebilecekleri tohumlar, bitkiler ve bunlarla ortak yaşayan böcek ve kuş gibi canlılar ve bölgedeki bazı endemik türler seçilerek aralarındaki bağa odaklanılmıştır. Bu yönü ile etkinlikler otantik öğrenme niteliğindedir. Etkinliklerin değerlendirilmesinde uzman görüşü olarak bir ornitolog, bir botanikçi, üç alan eğitimcisi ve bir Fen Bilgisi öğretmenine başvurulmuştur. Etkinlikler rastgele örneklem seçimi yoluyla 14 öğrenci ile uygulanmıştır. Her bir etkinlik için hazırlanan ilgi, bilgi ve tutum anketleri etkinlik öncesi ve sonrasında uygulanmıştır. Anketler güvenirliği sağlamak amacıyla, araştırmacı ve bir uzman tarafından değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçta öğrencilerin bilgi düzeyinde %50'nin üzerinde artış, düşüncelerinde ise olumlu yönde değişim gerçekleşmiştir. Hazırlanan Balıkesir'in biyoçeşitliliği konusundaki okul dışı etkinliklerin, eğitimcilerin kullanabileceği önemli bir kaynak olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The pressure on nature is increasing with human influence day by day. In parallel with this, many species are getting harmed or endangered. All types of organisms that form biodiversity and the communities they form have a great significance on conservation of the balance of nature. However, in the last century, increase in detoriation of nature by the effect of mankind has become more intense than the biosphere can repair. Nature education is one of the most effective ways to prevent the detoriation of nature. For this reason, giving nature education beginning from childhood to develop sensitivity to all living creatures has an important place in human life. The preparation and implementation of effective nature education programs will improve the awareness of the future generations about the nature. When the literature on this subject is examined, it is seen that the number of out-of-class activities in Turkey is low. Especially with a focus on biodiversity and special activity program of a city (Balıkesir) was not encountered. The aim of this study is to design activities on biodiversity, to develop these activities, to introduce and implement the activities developed. Since the nature education program and written materials to be prepared in this study aim to present as a comprehensive source to the teachers and instructors who want to apply nature education to biodiversity, in particular to Balıkesir's biodiversity, firstly the area literature scanning is carried out for biodiversity in Balıkesir region. In the planning process of the activity, the purpose of each activity was determined in accordance with the achievements of the environmental education course. In the selection of species which can be used as examples in these activities, some species which are frequently encountered in Balıkesir and which are endemic in this region are taken into consideration. This planning was created with 15 activities. The events created especially focus on the link between the seeds, plants and the living things such as insects and birds that are common to children in their immediate environment. Activities were corrected by consulting to experts such as an ornithologist, a botanist, three field educators and a science teacher. Then activities were applied to 14 students by randomly sampling selection. After all of the events, there was an increase of more than %50 in the level of knowledge of students and there was a change in their thoughts in a positive way. It is determined that out-of-school activities prepared on the biodiversity of Balıkesir are an important resource that educators can use.
