Özet

Bu çalışma, Kars'ta et fiyatlarını etkileyen etmenleri ve et fiyatlarının yüksekliğinin nedenlerini açıklayabilmek ve çözüm önerileri sunmak amacıyla ortaya koyulmuştur. Yüksek lisans projesi olarak hazırlanan bu çalışmanın konusu, Kars ilindeki hayvancılık sektörünün yapısı, bölge ekonomisindeki yeri ve önemi incelenerek et fiyatlarının düşürülmesi için yapılabileceklerden oluşmaktadır. Bu çalışma Kafkas Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü İktisat Ana Bilim Dalı Başkan'lığı bünyesinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma üç ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Türkiye'de ve Kars'ta hayvancılık sektörünün genel yapısı ile ilgili bilgiler verilmektedir. Sonraki bölümlerde Türkiye ve Kars İlinde et üretimi ve tüketimi, hayvancılığa dayalı endüstriyel üretim, besicilik, hayvancılık için yapılan tarım ürünleri ve et ithalatının fiyatlara etkisi ele alınmıştır. Son olarak yapılan anket sonucundan elde edilen veriler analiz edilerek bölgenin karşı karşıya olduğu sorunlar ve bölgede hayvancılık sektörünün gelişimi için önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

This study has been put forward in order to explain the factors affecting meat prices in Kars and the reasons of high meat prices and to offer solutions. The subject of this study, which is prepared as a master's project, consists of what can be done to reduce meat prices by examining the structure of the livestock sector in Kars, its place in the regional economy and its importance. This study was carried out under the chairmanship of the Department of Economics, Institute of Social Sciences, Kafkas University. The study consists of three main sections. The first section provides information about the overall structure of the livestock sector in Turkey and Kars. Next chapter in Turkey and Kars in meat production and consumption, industrial production based on animal husbandry, livestock, the impact on prices of agricultural products made for livestock and meat imports are handled. The data obtained from the survey results were analyzed and suggestions were made for the problems faced by the region and for the development of the livestock sector in the region.
