Özet
Bu çalışmada Platon'un diyaloglarını insan bağlamında ele alıp, filozofun insana dair görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmak hedeflenmiştir. Platon'un insan düşüncesini tam anlamıyla ayırt edebilmek için İlkçağ filozoflarının görüşleri, insan bağlamında incelenmiş olmakla birlikte filozofun yaşadığı Atina kenti de siyasi ve sosyo-kültürel olarak ele alınmıştır. Platon'un eserleri Sokratik, Geçiş, Olgunluk ve Yaşlılık olarak dönemlere ayrılmış ve dönemsel olarak incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre Platon, Sokratik döneminde hocası Sokrates'ten önemli ölçüde etkilenmiş olup insanı ruh ve beden olarak ikiye ayırmış ve ruha ait erdemleri sorgulamıştır. Sokratik dönemin insanı genel itibariyle sorgulayan bir varlık olarak karşımıza çıkmıştır. Geçiş döneminde ise insan net bir ayrımla ikiye bölünmüş ve Platon'un, insanın akleden yönü olarak ruhu detaylı bir şekilde incelemeye tabi tuttuğu tespit edilmiştir. Olgunluk döneminde yapılan incelemede Platon'un açıkladığı sofist, devlet adamı ve filozof olmak üzere üç tip insan tanımı ortaya konmuştur. Yaşlılık döneminde ise Platon'un, ruhla beden arasındaki ilişkiyi tüm detaylarıyla ortaya koyup, ruh ve beden bütünlüğü içerisinde bir insan tanımı yaptığı tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, it is aimed to discover the philosopher's views on human by analyse Plato's dialogues in the context of human. In order to properly distinguish Plato's human thought, the views of the ancient philosophers were examined in the context of human and the city of Athens, where the philosopher lived, was analyzed politically and socioculturally. Plato's works were divided into periods as Socratic, Transition, Maturity and Old Age and were examined periodically. According to the results, Plato was significantly influenced by his teacher Socrates during the Socratic period and divided the human being into soul and body and examine the virtues of the soul. In The Socratic period, it was discovered human have been identified as a questioning entity in general. In The Transition period, the human was divided into two with a clear distinction and it was discovered that Plato subjected the soul to a detailed examination as the mind side of the human. Three types of people are defined as sophist, statesman and philosopher explained by Plato in the examination made in the Maturity period. In his Old Age period, it was discovered that Plato analysed the relationship between soul and body in all its details and made a definition of a person in the integrity of the soul and body.
