This study will shed light on the issue of striking the right balance between the use of the right to freedom of expression online and the governance of cyberspace. On this basis, this study will attempt to present an extensive research by including the examination and analysis of the provisions of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (“the Convention”) 1 , case-law of the European Court of Human Rights (“the Court”) and the academic literature. The ultimate aim of this research is to provide a holistic, fair and balanced approach to strike the right balance.
