Özet
Teknoloji ve büyüyen ihtiyaçlar doğrultusunda gelişen inşaat sektörü yer üstü ve yer altı imalatlarını kapsamaktadır. Türkiye‟de öne çıkan bir sektör olması, beraberinde diğer sektörleri de hareketlendirmesi ve ekonomiye katkısı sebebiyle inşaat sektörünün önemi büyüktür. Sektör büyürken, çalışan sayısının artması ve buna bağlı olarak çalışma koşullarının kötüleşmesi, iş kazalarının artması gibi sorunları da beraberinde getirmiştir. Ciddi yaralanma ve ölümle sonuçlanan iş kazalarının çok sık yaşandığı inşaat sektöründe yapılan işin ve kullanılan malzemenin çeşitliliği, çalışma saatlerinin düzensizliği, çalışma alanının dağınık ve geniş olması, çalışanların eğitim seviyelerinin düşük olması, iş kazalarının önüne geçmek adına alınan önlemlerin yetersizliği ve gerekli uygulamaların sağlanamaması gibi nedenler etkili olmaktadır. İnşaat sektöründe çalışanlar, çalışma ortamlarının genellikle açık alanlarda bulunması sebebiyle iklim koşullarından direkt olarak etkilenmektedir. Çalışma şartlarında termal konforun sağlanıyor olması, çalışanların bedensel ve zihinsel olarak rahatlığının sürdürülmesi yapılan işin verimi ve çalışanların performansı açısından önemlidir. Çalışmaya elverişsiz olan sıcaklıkların çalışanlar üzerindeki psikolojik ve fizyolojik etkileri sebebiyle oluşan dikkatsizlik ve algı seviyesinin düşmesi sonucu iş kazalarının arttığı gözlemlenmiştir. Ortamın uygun sıcaklık değerinin belirlenmesinde çalışılan işin hafif ya da ağır olması, çalışanın sağlık durumu, beslenme şeklinin yapacağı işe uygunluğu, giydiği kıyafetin ince ya da kalın olması gibi parametreler etkili olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada inşaat sektöründe çalışanların maruz kaldığı soğuk hava şartlarının çalışanlar üzerindeki etkileri ve soğuk stres kaynaklı oluşabilecek sağlık sorunları incelenmiş, soğuk yaralanmalarında fayda sağlayabilecek ilk yardım uygulamaları belirtilmiştir. Soğuk stresten korunmak için çalışma ortamının yalıtılması, radyant ısı kaynakları ile ısıtmanın sağlanması, sıcak gıda takviyeleri ile ısı kaybının önlenmesi, kullanılacak donanımlar ve kıyafetlerin özellikleri ile ilgili tavsiyelerde bulunulmuştur.

The construction sector, which develops with the development of technology and the growth of needs, includes overground and underground productions. The development of the construction sector in Turkey is also developing other sectors and the economy. As the construction sector grows, the number of employees in the construction sector increases, working conditions deteriorate, and occupational accidents increase. The reasons for the occupational accidents in the construction sector are the variety of the work done, the irregularity of the working hours, the working area's width, the lack of education of the employees, and the insufficiency of the measures taken. The construction industry is affected by weather conditions, as there are many outdoor works in the construction industry. For the efficiency of the work and the employees' performance, thermal comfort must be provided in the working environment. Occupational accidents have been observed to increase due to carelessness and low perception levels of employees at unsuitable temperatures. The nature of the work performed, the employee's health status, the diet of the employee, the clothes the employee wears determine the appropriate temperature value of the environment. In this study, the effects of cold weather conditions on employees in the construction industry and health problems that may arise from cold stress were examined. First, aid practices that could benefit cold injuries were specified. To protect against cold stress, recommendations were made regarding the working environment's insulation, providing heating with radiant heat sources, preventing heat loss with hot food supplements, and the features of the equipment and clothes to be used.
