Özet
21. yüzyılda teknolojik ve sosyokültürel yaşam standartlarının da yükselmesiyle birlikte artan enerji ve hammadde ihtiyacı; gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkeler açısından önemini arttırmakta, devletlerin sahip olduğu doğal kaynaklar, ulusal güç unsurlarından biri olarak büyük bir avantaj sağlamaktadır. Türkiye dünyadaki toplam bor rezervlerinin %73,4'üne sahiptir. Bu maden türünün endüstride kullanım yelpazesinin genişliği ile birlikte çok stratejik alanlarda kullanım özellikleri bulunmaktadır. Türkiye'nin sahip olduğu rezerv avantajını rasyonel olarak değerlendirip değerlendiremediği konusu yıllardır tartışılagelen bir konu olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, borun ülke açsından önemi ve mevcut durumu ile birlikte rezervlerin büyüklüğüne oranla dünya bor piyasasında Türkiye'nin yeri sorgulanmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Türkiye'de bor konusunda akademik çalışması bulunan akademisyen ve uzmanların algılarını sorgulamak ve konuyu daha derinden analiz etmek için nitel araştırma çerçevesi içerisinde katılımcıların görüşleri alınıp yorumlanmıştır. Ayrıca Türkiye'nin dünya bor piyasasındaki mevcut görünümü istatistik veriler aracılığıyla saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Türkiye'de sosyal bilimler literatürüne bakıldığında bor konusunda deneyim sahibi uzmanların algısını ölçmek amacıyla yürütülen ilk çalışma özelliğine sahiptir. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgulara göre, Türkiye (Eti Maden) dünya genelinde % 56'lık bir pay ile lider konumda bulunmaktadır. Bunun yanı sıra, katılımcılar açısından bora atfedilen önem çok büyük düzeyde ve dolayısıyla bordan elde edilecek kârın maksimum seviyede gerçekleşmesi gerektiği algısı, katılımcıların ortak beklentisini oluşturmaktadır.

In the 21st century, the increasing need for energy and raw materials with the rise of technological and sociocultural living standards; It increases its importance for developed and developing countries, and the natural resources owned by the states provide a great advantage as one of the national power elements. Turkey has 73.4 % of the total boron reserves in the world. This mine type has usage characteristics in very strategic areas together with its wide range of usage in industry. Whether Turkey can evaluate its reserve advantage rationally has been a controversial issue for years. In this study; Turkey's place in the world boron market has been questioned in relation to the size of the reserves as well as the importance and current situation of boron for the country. In this context, the opinions of the participants were taken and interpreted within the framework of qualitative research in order to question the perceptions of academicians and experts who have academic studies on boron in Turkey and to analyze the subject more deeply. In addition, the current view of Turkey in the world boron market has been tried to be determined through statistical data. This study is the first study conducted in Turkey in the social sciences literature to measure the perception of experts with experience on boron. According to the results obtained in the study, Turkey (Eti Maden) is in a leading position with a share of 56% worldwide. In addition, the importance attributed to the boron mineral from the point of view of the participants is very high, and therefore the perception that the profit to be obtained from the boron mineral should occur at the maximum level constitutes the common expectation of the participants.
