Özet (Çeviri)
The studied area contains (micro-) structurally and petrographically different greenschist-blueschist successions where is located SW of the Elekdag metaophiolite (Central Pontides, Turkey). The aim of the study is focus on this differences to understand the geodynamic evolution of this successions. In the studied area metabasic rocks (blueschist, greenschist) and quartz-mica schist are observed along a 1000 m long roadcut. Several units of greenschist and blueschist are repeating along the road. These metabasic rocks underwent High pressure-Low temperature eclogite facies and blueschist facies metamorphism respectively. The protolith of this metabasic rocks was basaltic. The estimated average peak metamorphism conditions show similar values for blueschist and greenschist which was 1.5-1.6 GPa at 4500 -530oC. The geochemistry and mineral assemblage of the metabasic rocks imply that metabasic rocks in studied area underwent metamorphism in the subduction zone. The preservation of eclogitic minerals indicate that their exhumation was rapid. Mineral assemblages and structural features allow the studied area divided into 3 groups. The metabasic rocks blueschist and greenschist had garnet and clinopyroxene appear in Area 1. However, these minerals could not be observed in Area 2. Area3 is quartz-mica schist- a separate lithological unit that is not further considered in this study. During the metamorphism according to different PT conditions garnets and omphacites were not stable in Area 2 and they were broken down or pseudomorph minerals formed (e.g. epidote and chlorite pseudomorph after garnet). The metamorphic transition of greenschist-blueschist coexistence formed in the area as a result of fluid flux. However, the formation of greenschist-blueschist imbrications displays principle differences based on the microstructural and petrographical studies. These imbrications (greenschist-blueschist successions) caused by thrust fault system during exhumation. The direction of thrusting is towards SE.
