The purpose of this study is to examine whether collaboration network has a positive effect on innovation performance of firms which are operating in technoparks and to understand which collaboration type has the more relative effect on innovation performance by determining the probable effects of collaboration types implemented by firms operating within technoparks. To study this effect, a survey was developed to measure collaborative network frequency and innovation performance of firms in technoparks which are in Istanbul city. Istanbul was chosen as the sample region because it hosts more than 50 universities, 8 active and 3 under construction technoparks, and technology development centers. The survey was conducted by 115 different participants. Achieving the objectives of the research, quantitative methods such as the one-way analysis of variance and regression analysis were used. As a result of the analysis, it has been identified by simple regression analysis that collaborations within technopark have a positive and significant effect on innovation performance of the firms. In addition to these statistical findings, recommendations were presented for actors operating within technoparks and for researchers to guide their research which will be done in later periods.
