Combined transportation is one of the accepted and improved way of transport system in which two of the combined transportation is mostly preferred in today's trade and they are multimodal and intermodal combined transportation. According to the choice of transportation, some states' choice is the usage of intermodal transportation and the others' is multimodal transport system. However, their structure is alike, slight differences are irrevocable, in which intermodal transportation is operating in accordance with various contracts of the modes of transportation and multimodal transportation is operating under a single contract or bill of lading. Accordingly, the main idea is to discuss both of the combined transportation systems with various case studies by giving examples of the companies' preferences and usage.
