The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between social anxiety, dimensions of perfectionism and academic performance (GPA) in a sample of Turkish university students. The study included 104 university students (59 females and 45 males) who were in the final year at university. Data were collected using the Turkish version of the Social Interaction Anxiety Scale for social anxiety, the Turkish version of the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale for perfectionism, and self- reported GPA for academic performance. The results showed that self-oriented perfectionism was negatively related to GPA. Other-oriented perfectionism, socially prescribed perfectionism and social anxiety were not related to GPA. Limitations and suggestions for future research are discussed.
