The Susa Valley is in Turin, Piedmont region of Northern Italy and one of the most important passage between France-Lyon and Italy since Middle Ages, the road called Via Francigena. The valley is still considered the European Corridor between national and international settlements and has strategic importance with the Tunnel Euralpin Lyon-Turin and high-speed railway project. The valley takes its name from the city of Susa which is a unique point to Italy for its natural position and strategic. The valley present a wide variety of local agricultural products thanks to the presence of Alps and Dora Riparia River, a tributary of the Po river, which is given vitality in area and its microclimate with natural and historical heritage. The project of this thesis consists of a new urban agricultural area in natural and urban environment in Susa town: it is the accomplishment of a sustainable, productive public space against to food and nature crisis in a passageway characterised by Alps, small town and landscape, using the existing historical roots of the Susa Valley.
