The purpose of this project is to develop a robo‐advisor software, that can generate custom portfolios based on investor choices, that result in preferable return rates. The software has a very simple interface; a questionnaire that gets basic information from an investor. It then uses this information to calculate the customized target return rate and risk level and generates a portfolio of stocks accordingly. To generate the portfolio, our software makes use of Portfolio Management Theory (PMT) for modeling the portfolio, Genetic Algorithm (GA) in the optimization process of the portfolio and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) models for the forecasting of the stock values. The results show that the portfolios generated by our project outperforms the highest certificates of deposit rates available and outperforms randomly generated 100 portfolios %99 of the time in the long term, %85 in the mid term and %83 in the short term. Thus, we can conclude that our project is a preferable instrument to generate portfolios.
