Özet
İslam düşüncesinin temel yapı taşlarını oluşturan hadis, tefsir, fıkıh gibi ilimlerin ortaya koyduğu metot, Tanzimat sonrası Osmanlı düşüncesine dayanak oluşturmuştur. Tanzimat sonrası Osmanlı Devleti'nin Batı dünyası ile yakından temas kurması neticesinde yeni mektepler açılmış, Batı'da modern dönemde gelişen felsefî akımlar anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Batı'nın ilerlemesi karşısında İslam dünyasında düşünce, eğitim, siyaset gibi çeşitli alanlarda Osmanlı'nın son dönem düşünürlerinin yeni metot arayışları gündeme gelmiştir. Çalışmamızda Modern Batı düşüncesinde yeni metotların nasıl ortaya çıktığını ve bu metotların Osmanlı düşüncesine olan etkisini ele aldık. Burada epistemoloji ve metafizik üzerine birçok dikkate değer tartışmalar olmuştur. Bu tartışmaların mahiyetini, kavramlarını, konularını tezimizde ele alarak Tanzimat sonrası dönemde yeni metot arayışları konusunu inceledik.

The method has been put by sciences such as hadith, exegesis and fiqh, which constitute the the basic building blocks of Islamic thought, has formed the basis of Ottoman thought of post-Tanzimat. New schools were opened as a result of making close contact between the Ottoman Empire and the Western World; new philosophical movements that developed in modern period of the West were tried to be understood. In relation to the progress of the West, the search for new methods by the late Ottoman thinkers in various fields such as thought, education and politics in the Islamic world came forth. In our study, we discussed how new methods emerged in modern Western thought and the effects of these methods on the Ottoman thought. There have been many notable discussions on epistemology and metaphysics. Handling the nature, concepts and subjects of these discussions in our thesis, we examined the subject of the search for new methods in the post-Tanzimat period.
