Özet
Bu çalışma anthropomorphism kavramı ve onun İngiliz edebiyatındaki kullanımı üzerinde yoğunlaşmaktadır. Anthropomorphism terimi insan-olmayan şeylerin insanileştirilmesi anlamına gelmektedir. Fire Bringer, Redwall, Watership Down ve başka bazı kısa hikayeler, romanlar ve anlatılar anthropomorphism kavramı üzerine kurgulanmıştır. Araştırmacı bu çalışmasında A Dog's Tale hikayesi ve Animal Farm kısa kurmacasını İngiliz edebiyatındaki anthropomorphism analizi için seçmiştir. Her iki eser de animalizm üzerine kurulmuştur. Her iki yazar da incelediğimiz eserlerinde hayvanların karakterlerini insana özgü niteliklerle yansıtmıştır. Öte yandan araştırmacı Orwell'in sınıf mücadelesi ve animalizm perspektivini da ele almıştır. Ayrıca Twain'in insan düşünceleri ve hayvanların düşünceleri arasındaki farkların analizini yapmıştır. Araştırmacı bir grup hayvanın çiftçileri protesto etmelerinin betimlenmesinde insan-benzeri duygu ve özellikleri analiz etmiştir.

The study sheds light on the concept of anthropomorphism and its usage in English literature. Therefore, the term anthropomorphism refers to the idea of the humanization of several non-human things. Furthermore, several short stories, novels, and writings are based on the concept of anthropomorphism, such as Fire Bringer, Redwall, Watership Down, and others. Thus, the researcher selects a short story named A Dog's Tale and Animal Farm's novella to analyse Anthropomorphism in English literature. Both the selected writings are based on the concept of animalism. Both of the writers analyse the characters of the animals with the characteristics of humans in the writings. On the other hand, the researcher analyses the perspective of Orwell towards class struggle and animalism as described in the novels in the research study. Apart from that, the perspective of Twine towards differences between human thoughts and animals' thoughts is analysed in the study as described in the short story. Furthermore, the story of Animal Farm is focused on the concept of class struggle in nineteenth-century society. Thus, the writer portrays the farm's animals as the working class's people, and the farmers and the group of pigs are analysed as the ruling class's people. In addition, a female dog is analysed as a mother in the short story, and the dog tells the story of her life as a narrator. Therefore, the humanization of animals can be identified in both pieces of literature. Therefore, the writer analyses human-like emotions and characteristics by describing that the animals protest at a point against the farmers. In addition to that, Twine analyses different types of human-like emotions in this short story.
