Özet
Senûsî hareketi, XIX. yüzyıl İslam dünyasında öne çıkan tasavvuf ve ıslah hareketlerinden birisidir. Osmanlı toprağında ortaya çıkan Senûsiyyegeniş bir alana yayılma imkânı bulmuş, Büyük Sahra'nın derinliklerine kadar nüfuz etmiştir. Özellikle bu hareket, Kuzey ve Orta Afrika'da yaşayan toplumlar üzerinde oldukça etkili olmuştur. Hareketin en etkili olduğu dönem, ikinci şeyhleri olan El-Mehdî es-Senûsî (1859-1902) dönemidir. Bu nedenle bu tez çalışmasında hareketindaha fazla gelişip yayıldığı bu dönem incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, Senûsîlerin El-Mehdî es-Senûsî dönemindeki dini, sosyal, ekonomik ve siyasi rolü, hareketin içyapısı ile hareketin Osmanlı İmparatorluğu, mahalli ve yabancı güçlerle ilişkileri ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışma ile Senûsîlik tarihinin farklı kaynaklardaki bilgilerle karşılaştırılması hedeflenmiştir. Bu tez çalışması sırasında daha çok Osmanlı arşiv belgelerine ve Senusilerin kendi yazdıkları kaynaklara müracaat edilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Sanusi is one of the most outstanding reformative movements of the Islamic World in the XIX. century, the sanusi emerged in the Ottoman lands which had the opportunity to spread over a wide area, succeeding in penetrating deep into the Great Saharaand had an effect especially on the socities living in North and Central Africa in various sectors and many fields. The most influential of the movement was the period of alsayyid Mohamed al Mahdi (1859-1902) who was the second sheikh to lead the order. This study discusses this important stage in which the movement experienced agreat development and spread, so in this research is a focus on the educational and social role of the movement as well as the political role of this distinguished era,and discusses the internal structure of it, and the relations with the Ottoman Empire and other powers. This study depends on the compare of the informations in different sources. It can be said that this studyis more advantageous than the previous studies because it has based on the Ottoman archival documents, and the sources written by sanusis themselves.
