Özet
Bu tez çalışmasında, Türkiye'de doğal yayılışı olan Biarum Schott (Araceae) cinsine ait taksonların morfolojisi, anatomisi, palinolojisi ve moleküler özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Taksonların betimleri, ayırıcı teşhis anahtarı ve yayılış haritaları verilmiştir. Biarum cinsine ait taksonların kök, skapa ve yaprak anatomisi çalışılmıştır. Kökün ksilem kolları sayısının tür ayırımında belirleyici bir karakter olduğu görülmüştür. Yaprak ve gövdenin anatomisinin ise ayırımda köke göre daha az belirleyiciliği tespit edilmiştir. Biarum cinsine ait taksonların polenleri monad, şekilleri prolat-spheroidal ve ornamentasyonları ekinat, verrukat, striat-skabrat, striat olarak tespit edilmiştir. Biarum cinsine ait taksonların genomik DNA'ları izole edilmiş ve farklı bölgeler polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu (PCR) yolu ile çoğaltılmış ve sekans analiz işlemi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Cinse ait taksonlardan elde edilen sekans dizi verilerine göre filogenetik ağaç oluşturulmuş ve taksonlar arasındaki filogenetik ilişki belirlenmiştir. Tez çalışmasında Biarum x cinarense melez türü de bilim dünyasına doğal yeni bir melez tür olarak kazandırılmıştır. Bu tez çalışması kapsamında Biarum cinsinin ülkemizdeki tür sayısının 12 olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

In this thesis study were investigated, the morphology, anatomy, palynology and molecular properties of taxa belonging to the genus Biarum Schott (Araceae), which is naturally distributed in Türkiye. Descriptions of taxa, differential identification key and distribution maps are given. Root, scapa and leaf anatomy of taxa were studied belonging to the genus Biarum. It was determined that the anatomy of the leaf and stem was less decisive in the separation than the root. Pollens of taxa belonging to Biarum genus were monad, shapes were prolate-spheroidal and ornamentations were echinate, verrucate, striate-skabrate, striate. Genomic DNAs of taxa belonging to the genus Biarum were isolated and different regions were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and sequence analysis was performed. A phylogenetic tree was created according to the sequence data obtained from the taxa belonging to the genus and the phylogenetic relationship between the taxa was determined. In the thesis study, the hybrid species Biarum x cinarense was introduced to the scientific world as a natural new hybrid species. Within the scope of this thesis study, it was determined that the number of Biarum species in our country is 12.
