Özet

“Tasavvufta Ezeliyet Düşüncesi (h. III-VI. asırlar)”başlıklı bu tez, tasavvufun klasik döneminde“rûhun ezeliyeti”hakkında öne sürülen fikirlerin, tasavvufun yöntem, gâye ve mesailinin oluşum ve gelişimine nasıl tesirde bulunduğunu incelemektedir.“Ezeliyet Düşüncesinin Tarihsel Arkaplanı”başlıklı ilk bölümde, ezeliyet kavramının tasavvufî düşünceye intikal etmeden önce nasıl bir seyir izlediği ve ardından, tasavvufî gelenekte ezeliyet kuramının tedavülüne zemin hazırlayan iç ve dış dinamikler ele alınmaktadır. Ezeliyet kavramının tasavvufî bir telakkîye dönüşümü ise tezin ikinci ve üçüncü bölümünün ana teması olarak işlenmektedir. Bunlardan ikinci bölümde ezeliyet kavramının tasavvufa hem gâye hem de yöntem bakımından kaynaklık ettiği varsayımından hareketle, tasavvuf ilminin gâyesinin“ezele vuslat”, yönteminin ise“ezelî ahde riâyet”olarak okunabileceği iddiası temellendirilmektedir. Üçüncü ve son bölümde ise ezeliyet kavramının tasavvufî düşüncede kazandığı yeni anlamın yanısıra, sebebiyet verdiği teorik ve problematik meseleler ele alınarak tasavvufun nasıl metafizik bir mecraya doğru gelişim gösterdiği ortaya konulmaktadır.

Özet (Çeviri)

This thesis, entitled“The Idea of Eternity (h. III- VI. Centuries)”examines how the ideas put forward about the“eternity of the soul”in the classical period of Sufism influenced the formation and development of the method, aim and issues of Sufism. In the first chapter titled“The Historical Background of the Idea of Eternity”, the course of the concept of eternity before its transition to Sufi thought and then the internal and external dynamics that prepared the ground for the circulation of the theory of eternity in the Sufi tradition are discussed. The transformation of the concept of eternity into a Sufi idea is discussed as the main theme of the second and third parts of the thesis. In the second part of these, based on the assumption that the concept of eternity is the source of Sufism in terms of both purpose and method, the claim that the aim of Sufi science can be read as“Attaining eternity”and its method as“ Complying with the eternal covenant ”is based. In the third and final part, in addition to the new meaning that the concept of eternity has gained in Sufi thought, the theoretical and problematic issues it causes are discussed and it is revealed how Sufism has developed towards a metaphysical medium.
