Özet
Bu tezin amacı, Schopenhauer'da“isteme”,“tasavvur”,“özgürlük”ve“aşk”kavramları arasındaki bağlantıları ortaya koyarak filozofun sisteminde özgür bir cinsel aşkın var olamayacağını göstermektir. Her şeyin istemenin bir nesneleşmesi olduğu tasavvurlar alanında bir isteme edimi olarak aşk da tam bir belirlenime tabidir. İstemenin tezahür etmeye devam edebilmesini sağlayan cinsel aşk konusunda herkes istemenin kölesidir. Kant'ın bilinemeyeceğini düşündüğü“kendinde şey”i,“isteme”olarak açıklayan Schopenhauer, dünyadaki hayatın bu kör, bilinçsiz ve kötü metafiziksel varlığın nesneleşmesi olduğunu düşünür. Her daim var olmak için çabalayan, hatta bu çabanın kendisi olan bu varlık, hayvanların ve insanların üreyerek türlerini sürdürmeleriyle nesneleşmeye devam eder. İnsan türünü kusursuz bir şekilde sürdürmeyi amaçlayan isteme, bu amacına uygun olan çocukları yapabilecek kişileri tutkulu aşkla bir araya getirir. Aşkta içgüdü tarafından aldatılan, bilinçdışı faktörlerce belirlenen insanlar kutsallık atfettikleri aşklarının esasında istemenin vücut bulma çabası olduğunun farkında değildir. İnsanlar cinsel aşkla, istemeyi olumlar ve acıya yazgılı bir var oluşu sürdürür. Oysa çözüm yaşam istencinin yadsınmasıdır. Cinsel aşk köleliktir, istemeden kurtuluş ise özgürlüktür.

The aim of this thesis is to show that a free sexual love cannot exist in the philosopher's system by revealing the connections between the concepts of“will”,“representation”,“freedom”and“love”in Schopenhauer. In the field of representations, where everything is an objectification of will, love as an act of will is also subject to a full determination. In sexual love, which enables the will to continue to manifest, everyone is a slave to the will. Explaining the“thing-in-itself”, which Kant thinks cannot be known, as“will”, Schopenhauer suggests that the life in the world is the objectification of this blind, unconscious and evil metaphysical entity. This being, which always strives to exist, and even amounts to this striving itself, continues to be objectified by the reproduction of animals and humans. Will, which aims to maintain the human species in a perfect way, brings together people who can make children who are suitable for this purpose by means of passionate love. People who are deceived by instinct in love and determined by unconscious factors are not aware that their love, to which they attribute sacred, is essentially an effort to come into being. People affirm will through sexual love and maintain an existence destined for pain. However, the solution is the denial of the will to life. Sexual love is slavery; liberation from will is freedom.
