Özet
Hiciv, düşünsel ve eylemsel açıdan güçlü bir etki alanına sahip olan bir üslup olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Özellikle, İngiliz mizah anlayışının önemli bir unsuru olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Monty Python komedi grubunun hicvi, bu çalışmanın temel odak noktasını oluşturmaktadır. Grubun filmlerinde politik ve teolojik konulara yönelik sergilediği hicivsel yaklaşımlar, örnek eserlerin incelenmesiyle analiz edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, hicvin geçmişten günümüze uzanan önemli bir ifade biçimi olduğu vurgulanmakta ve hicvin tarihsel gelişimi, temaları ve yöntemleri; literatür araştırmasıyla incelenmektedir. Monty Python komedi grubunun hicvi, politik ve teolojik konulara yönelik derinlemesine bir eleştiri ve sorgulama içermekte olup İngiliz sinemasında oldukça önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Monty Python filmlerinin İngiliz mizahı ve hicvi üzerinden bir analizini yapmak ve hicvin sinema sanatındaki yerini ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda İngiliz sinemasında hicvin kullanıldığı eserler incelenecek ve Monty Python filmlerinin kendine özgü anlatı yapısı içerik ve biçimsel olarak detaylı bir şekilde analiz edilecektir.

Satire is considered as a style that has a strong influence in terms of thought and action. In particular, it stands out as an important element of the British sense of humor. The satire of the Monty Python comedy group is the main focus of this work. The group's satirical approaches to political and theological issues in its films are analyzed by examining sample works. In this study, satire was emphasized as an important form of expression from the past to the present, and historical development, themes and methods of satire was analyzed through literature research. The satire of the Monty Python comedy group includes in-depth criticism and questioning of political and theological issues that has a very important role in British cinema. The objective of this investigation is to analyse Monty Python films with regards to British humour and satire, and to explore satire's role in the art of cinema. Within this scope, we will scrutinise works in which satire is employed within British cinema, and analyse the distinctive narrative structure of Monty Python films in detail, focusing on both content and form.
