Özet

Dinin ana gayelerinden biri inananları bu dünya kadar ölüm sonrası dünya için de hazırlamaktır. Bu yüzden kurtuluş ile ilgili öğretiler her dinin temel öğretilerindendir. Dinden dine göre bunun yöntemi değişse de temelde hepsi sonsuz mutluluğu ve kurtuluşu hedeflemektedir. Hıristiyanlık içinde de kurtuluş ile alakalı farklı düşünceler geliştirilmiştir. Hıristiyanlığın ilk dönemleri bu bağlamda çok çeşitli bir çerçeve çizmektedir. 2. ve 3. yüzyılda yaşamış Origen de bu dönemde öne çıkmış teologlardan biridir. Bu tezde evrensel kurtuluş anlayışını ilk defa sistemleştiren kişi olarak bilinen Origen'in kurtuluş hakkındaki görüşleri incelenmiştir. Origen'in“apokatastasis”anlayışını temele koyarak sistemleştirdiği kurtuluş anlayışını hangi teolojik doktrinlere dayandırdığı, ilk dönem Hıristiyanlarının ve Kutsal Kitap'ın ortaya koyduğu kurtuluş anlayışlarının ne olduğu ve bunların Origen'in kurtuluş anlayışıyla ne tür bir ilişkisi olduğunun incelenmesi çalışmanın ana hedefini oluşturmuştur. Amaçlar doğrultusunda ilk bölümde Apokatastasis kelimesinin tanımı, İskenderiye'deki entelektüel birikim ve bazı ilk dönem Hıristiyanlarının kurtuluş görüşleri ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde Eski Ahit ve Yeni Ahit'in içerdiği kurtuluş ile alakalı terimler ve kurtuluş anlayışı incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise Origen'in kurtuluş anlayışı bağlamında farklı tartışmalar ve yorumlamalar çevresinde Tanrı, yaratılış, ruh, diriliş, özgür irade ve apokatastasis anlayışı üzerinde durulmuştur. Sonuç bölümünde ise elde edilen bilgiler araştırma sorularına cevap olarak tartışılmıştır.

One of the main purposes of the religion is to prepare believers for the afterlife as well as this world. For this reason, the doctrions about salvation are among the basic teachings of every religion. Although the way to attain to salvation varies from religion to religion, they all basically aim at eternal happiness and salvation. Different ideas about salvation have also been developed within Christianity. The early periods of Christianity draw a very diverse framework in this context. Origen, who lived in the 2nd and 3rd centuries, is one of the theologians who came to prominence during this period. In this thesis, Origen's views on salvation, who is known as the person who systematized the universal understanding of salvation for the first time, are examined. The main goal of the study was to examine which theological doctrines Origen based his understanding of salvation, in regard to his understanding of“apokatastasis”, what are the concepts of salvation put forwarded by early Christians and the Bible, and what kind of relationship these have with Origen's understanding of salvation. For the aims of the study, in the first chapter, the definition of the word Apokatastasis, the intellectual climate in Alexandria and the views of salvation of some early Christians are discussed. In the second part, the terms related to salvation and the understanding of salvation contained in the Old Testament and the New Testament are examined. The third part focuses on the understanding of God, creation, spirit, resurrection, free will and apokatastasis around different discussions and interpretations in the context of Origen's understanding of salvation. In the conclusion section, the information obtained in the thesis is discussed in response to the research questions.
