Özet

İmam Hatip Liseleri, 3 Mart 1924'te kabul edilen Tevhid-i Tedrisat Kanunu'nun 4. Maddesi uyarınca, din görevlileri yetiştirmek ve öğrencileri yüksek öğrenime hazırlamak için kurulan öğretim kurumları olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu çalışmamızda, İmam Hatip Liselerinin kuruldukları tarihten günümüze kadar geçirdiği merhaleler incelenip, öğrencilerin bu okullardan beklentileri ve beklentilerinin karşılanma durumları tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Amacımız, öğrencilerin beklentileri dikkate alınarak yapılacak çalışmalarla, bu kurumların kalitesinin artırılmasına katkı sağlayabilmektir. Çalışmamızın örneklemini 2'si karma, 1' i kız ve 1'i erkek lisesi şeklinde eğitim veren 4 İHL'den rastgele seçilen 72 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmamızın sonunda, okulların fiziki şartlarının iyileştirilmesi, mesleki tanıtım faaliyetlerinin artırılması, şehir içi ve dışı olmak üzere gezilerin yapılması, İHL' lerin toplum tarafından tanınırlığını artıracak çalışmaların yapılması, müfredatın güncel bir biçimde sadeleştirilmesi, öğretmenlerin çağdaş öğretim yöntem ve teknikleriyle ders anlatımı gibi konularda beklentilerin olduğu tespit edilmiş ve bunlarla ilgili çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur.

Religious Vocational High Schools are educational institutions established under Article 4 of the Tevhid-i Tedrisat Law. This law was adopted on March 3, 1924, with the aim of training religious officials and preparing them for higher education. In this study, we examined the stages of Religious Vocational High Schools from their establishment to the present day and tried to determine the expectations of the students from these schools and assess the extent to which these expectations have been met. Our aim is to contribute to improving the quality of these institutions by undertaking studies that take into account the expectations of students. Qualitative research method was used to reveal the purpose of the research. The research sample consists of 72 randomly selected students from 4 Religious Vocational High Schools: one male only, one female only, and two mixed-gender schools. These schools are located in the Izmir city center and were surveyed during the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. Research data was obtained with semi-structured interview. Descriptive analysis method was used to analyze the data. At the end of our research, expectations were determined and solution suggestions were presentedon issues such as improving the physical conditions of schools, increasing professional promotion activities, organizing trips in and outside the city, carrying out studies that will increase the recognition of RVHSs by the society, updating and simplifying the curriculum, and encouraging teachers to utilize modern teaching methods and techniques.
