Özet
Bu tez, temel olarak Friedrich von Schiller ve G.W.F. Hegel'in spesifik olarak özgür birey kavrayışlarının nasıl anlaşılması gerektiğine dair bir çerçeve sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Schiller ve Hegel'in fikirleri, Alman Aydınlanma felsefesinin ve Alman idealizminin önemli bir parçasıdır. Schiller, estetik ve özgürlükle ilgilenen bir filozof olarak tanınır. Ona göre estetik, bireyin özgürlüğünü ve ahlaki gelişimini sağlayan temel ilkedir. Schiller, estetik deneyimin bireyi gereksinim ve yasaların baskısından kurtardığını iddia eder. Bu doğrultuda, estetik sayesinde birey, entelektüel ve ahlaki bir olgunluğa -Bildung- sahip olur. Hegel, Schiller'in estetik ve özgürlük üzerine fikirlerinden etkilense de estetik ve özgürlüğü tarihsel ve toplumsal bağlama oturtarak daha sistematik ve bütünsel bir felsefe ortaya koyar. Hegel, kendi yöntemiyle tarih, toplum ve bireyin gelişimini açıklamaya çalışır. Hegel'e göre Hakikat, Tin'in şekillerinin açındırıldığı tarihsel bir süreçtir. Hegel, bireyin özgürlüğünün ancak tarihsel sürecin bir parçası olarak tam anlamıyla gerçekleşebileceğini düşünür. Özgür birey tartışması, günümüzde önemini koruduğu ve hala geçerliliğini sürdürdüğü için bu tez, okunmaya değer bir katkı sunmaktadır. Temel amacımız, güncel olan bu tartışmayı daha derin felsefi bir temelde yeniden ele almaktır.

This thesis primarily aims to provide a framework for understanding Friedrich von Schiller's and G.W.F. Hegel's specific conceptions of the free individual.The ideas of Schiller and Hegel are integral to the philosophy of the German Enlightenment and German Idealism. Schiller is recognized as a philosopher concerned with aesthetics and freedom. According to him, aesthetics is a fundamental principle that enables individual freedom and moral development. Schiller argues that aesthetic experience liberates individuals from the constraints of necessity and law. In this way, through aesthetics, the individual attains intellectual and moral maturity—Bildung. Although Hegel was influenced by Schiller's ideas on aesthetics and freedom, he developed a more systematic and comprehensive philosophy by situating aesthetics and freedom within a historical and social context. Hegel seeks to explain the development of history, society, and the individual through his dialectical method. For Hegel, Truth is a historical process through which the forms of Spirit are revealed. He contends that individual freedom can only be fully realized as part of this historical process. The discussion on the free individual remains significant and relevant today, making this thesis a valuable contribution. Our primary goal is to revisit this contemporary debate from a deeper philosophical perspective.
