Özet
The manual layout generation for interiors is a labor-intensive and time-consuming work in the virtual environment. Although procedural techniques such as automatic content creation exist for building interiors, still generating livable room layouts is challenging. Therefore, the project is aimed to provide a bedroom layout with an ergonomic and livable environment using procedural modeling. Through this method, envisaging the bedroom with the placement of furniture and the other items can be enabled. This technique will be introduced as an augmentation to the previous work based on the furniture and the objects exported from Sweet Home 3D programme and downloaded from Unity Assets Store. In this project, specific aspects such as rule-based layout, agent-based interiors, and furniture based optimization were examined on procedural modeling algorithms, and a new algorithm combining these aspects to provide a layout for interiors was created. Through the algorithm, various room sizes and layouts can be implemented, whether the room is assumed as messy or not. Then, an evaluation was conducted by a certain number of subjects to judge the consistency of 21 bedroom layout with the reality. For these experiments, first 10 rooms were modelled with Sweet Home 3D, whilst the latter room models were obtained from the algorithm and were processed by Unity game engine programme. The outcomes from the evaluations can be interpreted that the indistinguishability of the room layouts generated by the software from manually created demonstrations can be utilised for the improved seeking evidence training
