Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı; İşbirlikli Öğrenme Yönteminin Öğrenci Takımları-Başarı Bölümleri (ÖTBB) ve 5E modeli ile Milli Eğitim Programına uygun öğretim yöntemlerinin, ortaokul 7.sınıf öğrencilerinin ''Maddenin Yapısı ve Özellikleri '' ünitesindeki başarılarına ve motivasyonlarına olan etkilerini incelemektir. 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul il merkezindeki bir ortaokulun üç 7. sınıf şubesinde öğrenim gören toplam 72 öğrenci, araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Basit seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak, bu şubelerden biri deney grubu 1, bir diğeri deney grubu 2 ve üçüncüsü kontrol grubu olarak atanmıştır. 1. Deney grubunda dersler İşbirlikli Öğrenme Yönteminin Öğrenci Takımları Başarı Bölümleri Tekniği, 2. Deney grubunda 5E modeli, Kontrol grubunda ise dersler Milli Eğitim Programına uygun olarak araştırmacı tarafından işlenmiştir. Çalışmada 7. sınıf Fen Bilimleri dersi öğretim programında yer alan ''Maddenin Yapısı ve Özellikleri'' ünitesindeki konular temel alınmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, Maddenin Yapısı ve Özellikleri Ünitesi Başarı Testi (MYÖÜBT) 29 sorudan oluşan başarı testi geliştirilmiştir. 6 hafta süren çalışmada, başarı testi (MYÖÜBT) ve Fen bilimleri dersine yönelik olan motivasyon ölçeği (FBMÖ) , ön test ve son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca Fen bilimleri dersine yönelik oluşturulan motivasyon ölçeği ders öncesi ön test ve ders sonrası son test olacak şekilde uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen verilerin nicel analizi için SPSS paket programı kullanılarak betimsel ve kestirimsel istatistik yöntemlerine başvurulmuştur. Bu araştırmada; nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ön test – son test eşitlenmemiş kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda ÖTBB tekniği kullanılan deney grubu 1, 5E modeli kullanılan deney grubu 2 ile MEB programının uygulandığı kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin Fen Bilimleri dersine olan motivasyon ve Fen Bilimleri dersindeki başarıları arasında ÖTBB tekniği ile 5E modeli lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. İki teknik de öğrenciler için MEB programına göre daha faydalı olduğu görülmüştür.

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of the Student Teams-Achievement Segments (SSTS) and 5E model of the Cooperative Learning Method and the teaching methods in accordance with the National Curriculum on the achievement and motivation of 7th grade secondary school students in the 'Structure and Properties of Matter' unit. A total of 72 students studying in three 7th grade classes of a secondary school in the city centre of Istanbul in the 2022-2023 academic year constituted the sample of the study. Using simple random sampling method, one of these classes was assigned as experimental group 1, another as experimental group 2 and the third as control group. In the 1st experimental group, the lessons were taught using the Student Teams Success Chapters Technique of the Cooperative Learning Method, in the 2nd experimental group using the 5E model, and in the control group the lessons were taught by the researcher in accordance with the National Education Programme. The study was based on the subjects in the 'Structure and Properties of Matter' unit in the 7th grade Science curriculum. As a data collection tool in the study, an achievement test consisting of 29 questions was developed as the Structure and Properties of Matter Unit Achievement Test (SSAT). In the 6-week long study, the achievement test (MYÖÜBT) and the motivation scale for science course (FBMÖ) were applied as pre-test and post-test. In addition, the motivation scale for science course was applied as pre-test before the lesson and post-test after the lesson. For the quantitative analysis of the data obtained in the study, descriptive and predictive statistical methods were applied using SPSS package programme. In this study, a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest unequalised control group was applied. As a result of the research, a significant difference was found between the motivation towards Science course and achievement in Science course of the students in the experimental group 1 in which SSTT technique was used, experimental group 2 in which 5E model was used and the control group in which MoNE programme was applied in favour of SSTT technique and 5E model. Both techniques were found to be more beneficial for students than the MoNE programme.
