Özet
İmam Şâfiî'nin hadis ilmindeki metodolojisi ve bunu ortaya koymak için yazdığı kitaplar, eski zamanlardan günümüze kadar insanların dilinden düşmemiştir. Âlimler, Şâfiî'nin kitaplarına ilgi göstermelerine, onu kabul ve takdirle karşılamalarına rağmen mezhepte ve metotta muhalifleri tarafından eleştiri ve itiraza maruz kalmıştır. Şâfiî'ye kendi döneminde ve sonraki asırlarda hadis bilgisi, muhaddisler arasındaki konumu, cerh ve ta'dîl ehlinin ona karşı tutumu, ravileri tenkit ve haberleri kabul etmedeki metodu hakkında eleştiri okları yöneltilmiştir. Mezhebinin imamları bu eleştirilere cevap vermeye koyulmuşlar, bu hususta çeşitli eserler telif etmişler, hakkındaki itirazlar her çağda yenilenerek devam etmiş ve âlimler da onlara karşı görevlerini yerine getirmeye devam etmişlerdir. Zamanımızda Şâfiî'ye yönelik çağdaş modernist bir eğilime sahip yeni eleştiriler ortaya çıkmıştır. Bunların bir kısmı eski eleştiri sahipleri tarafından da yapılmış olmakla birlikte çağdaş eleştirmenler bunları çağdaş bir görev olarak ve farklı bir bağlamda iş edinmişlerdir. Bu araştırma, hadis ilmi ile ilgili eleştirilere özgüdür. Bunların en barizi Şâfiî'nin sünnet-i Nebeviyye'nin hüccet oluşuna ve teşrî'deki bağımsızlığına karşı tavrı, ona göre sünnet kavramı, sünnetin hüccet oluşuna dair getirdiği deliller, âhâd haberler ve onların hüccet oluşuna karşı tavrı, bunları kabuldeki yöntemi, hadis ravilerini ve onların rivayet ettiği hadisleri eleştirmedeki yöntemi ve metnin tenkidi konusuna dair tutumu gibi konular hakkındadır. Araştırmamızda, bütün bu eleştirileri kendisinden sonra kadim zamanlardan günümüze kadar gelen âlimlerin bu konuda derlediklerini referans alarak Şâfiî'nin usûlüne, sözlerine ve fiillerine arz etmek suretiyle ilmî bir değerlendirmeye tabi tutmaya çalıştık.

Imam al-Shafi'i's methodology in the science of Hadith and his writings on it have been a topic of discussion from ancient times up to the present day. During his time and in the following centuries, al-Shafi'i faced criticism concerning his knowledge of Hadith, his status among Hadith scholars, the stance of specialists in al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil (critique and validation of narrators) towards him, and his approach to evaluating narrators and accepting reports. This research is specifically focused on contemporary criticisms of al-Shafi'i related to the science of Hadith. The aim of the study is to examine the objections raised by modern critics against al-Shafi'i's methodology in Hadith, to verify the validity of these criticisms, and to determine whether al-Shafi'i's texts support the claims of his critics or contradict their views. The main objections revolve around al-Shafi'i's stance on the authority of the Prophetic Sunnah, its independence as a source of legislation, his understanding of it, and the evidence he used to affirm its authority. Other key areas of critique include his view on the reliability of single-narrator reports (ahad), his method of accepting such reports, his approach to evaluating Hadith narrators, the Hadiths he transmitted, and his stance on textual criticism. The problem this research seeks to address is the gap that has emerged between al-Shafi'i and some contemporary scholars, the issues arising from the differing methodologies, and the consequences of this disagreement. All that has been written on this topic has not addressed the issue from its roots, nor has it provided a thorough study of the matter. Most works on this topic have focused solely on al-Shafi'i's position on the authority of the Sunnah, without encompassing all or most of the criticisms directed at him. This research aims to examine all objections raised against al-Shafi'i in the field of Hadith comprehensively, covering what has been written about him in both Turkish and Arabic studies, and seeks to fill the gaps left by previous writings on the subject. The research concluded that some criticisms of al-Shafi'i are valid, particularly those concerning his narration from some discredited narrators and his citation of certain weak reports. However, the criticisms related to the authority of the Sunnah, al-Shafi'i's method of reasoning, and his stance on single-narrator reports are unfounded and not supported by his texts; they appear to stem from either a misunderstanding of al-Shafi'i's intent or a misinterpretation of his texts.
