Özet

ÖZET Ankara Devlet Konservatuvarı'na girdiğim ilk yıllardan beri viyola repertuvannın kısıtlı oluşu beni hep rahatsız etmiştir. Neden viyola için bu kadar az eser yazılmıştır? Elinizdeki tez, bu sorudan yola çıkılarak hazırlanmıştır. Yamt olarak da“viyola solo çalgı değildir”açıklaması yalnızca sorunun geçiştirildiğini ifade etmektedir. 19.yüzyılda oluşan bu düşünce, Türk Bestecilerimizde hala devam etmektedir. Oysa ki, sanatın her zaman yeni renklere ihtiyacı vardır. Bir ressam, tuvaline vuracağı rengi özellikle seçer fakat, hakim renk her zaman aynı renk olamaz. Her rengin birçok tonu olduğu gibi her çalgının da kendine özgü değişik tınıları vardır. Solistik çalgı yoktur; solist vardır. Bunca viyola sanatçısı varken çalgının repertuvar yetersizliği nedeniyle konser programlarında yer alamaması yeni renklere duyarsızlık ve teknolojiye ayak uyduramamaktan ileri gelmektedir. Ben, bu düşüncelerden yola çıkarak önce elimizde olan; Türk bestecilerimizin viyola için olan eserlerini ortaya çıkarmaya çalıştım. Bu tezde Türk Beşlerinden bu yana yazılan viyola konçertoları saptanıp açıklanmış, bestecilerimizin diğer viyola eserleri de bir araya getirilmiştir.

Ill ABSTRACT I've been asking myself why the viola repertoire is so restricted since the time I entered the State Conservatory in Ankara. Why is there such a restricted number of work composed for the viola? This is the question I tried to answer in this thesis and I came to the conclusion that it would be wrong to say“viola is not a solo instrument”, because such an explanation would just mean avoiding any kind of further reflection. Nevertheless, it seems that this altitude concerning the viola as a solo instrument, has been existing since the 19th century and still prevails among Turkish composers. However, art needs renewal. One and the same painter can use a certain colour on purpose but the dominant colour will never be the same in all his paintings. So, just as there are many different variations of one colour, each instrument has also its characteristic tunes. I would therefore be wrong to differentiate between solo-instruments and others, because every instrument can basically be played as a solo one by a soloist. The reason why viola is still not played very often in concerts despite the existence of so many soloists, is that we are not sensitive enough to the renewal of art. Moreover we tend to have difficulties keeping up with technological above, I've tried to analyse works composed for the viola by Turkish composers. In this thesis you will find an analysis of all viola concertos composed by Turkish Five followed by other works composed by our Turkish artists for the viola.
