Gerek hammadde ihtiyacı gerekse asker temini için çıkılan her sefer Urartu kültürünü oluşturan özelliklerin Geç Hitit sanatına, Geç Hitit sanat anlayışının Urartu kültürüne aktarımına neden olmuştur.
Özet (Çeviri)
The Urartian Kingdom is the first state established in the Eastern Anatolia Region. The Urartian people, whose borders spread over a very wide area and who were in communication despite geographical obstacles, left behind artifacts that would leave their mark on the Iron Age. Although located in an extremely unfavorable geography, the administrative, religious and military structures built in the cities are subjective enough to be evaluated as“Urartu type”by archaeologists who found architectural ruins millennia later. Metal works created with the raw materials brought from the regions belonging to the Late Hittite City States, as well as the mineral deposits within the borders of its own country, constitute the basis of Urartian Art. Late Hittite City States, after the 400-year rule of the Hittite Empire, BC. It was founded by the princes who went south from Hattusa after its collapse in 1200. While the Hittite Princes continued the characteristics of traditional Hittite art, they socialized and interacted culturally with the Aramaic people in Northern Syria. At the same time, due to the need for raw materials in the region, the region was under the influence of Aramaic-Assyrian-Hittite artistic concepts with the expeditions of the Neo-Assyrian kings. The effects of this art are clearly seen in the orthostats decorating the walls of Late Hittite cities. The paths of the Urartian Kingdom and the Late Hittite Cities intersected with the expeditions of the Urartian kings to the western banks of the Euphrates River. Each expedition undertaken for both the need for raw materials and the supply of soldiers caused the transfer of the characteristics that constitute the Urartian culture to Late Hittite art, and the transfer of the Late Hittite understanding of art to Urartian culture.
